I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

That's awesome that she got a job! I know nurses are in high demand, so I'm not too worried and getting a job. I just concerned about how the program is ran. I'm hoping it does a good job preparing you for the field like the TCC program does.

Not yet! Hopefully soon...I talked to someone at the school today that said 10-12 weeks we would know, and this week is the 10th.

We are in week 11 ?

Halfway over, ha!!

I'm counting down.

I mean week 11 is halfway over

Hello everyone has anyone received there e

Acceptance letters yet?

I haven't. According to the slip I picked up when dropping off my app, the approximate wait time is 12-15 weeks.

Yay since the advisor told u 10 to 12 weeks maybe they are on their A game. I'm so ready. I have all my thing nursing shoes, pen light, bandage scissor, watch, stethoscope, a nursing bag I got as a gift but isn't mandatory. I just need uniforms and physical/shots

I just spoke with another advisor, and she told me that they extended what they were telling students to 12-15 weeks (just to give themselves time) but they have been working quickly and should be letting us know soon.

Thanks for replying. The wait is killer. Does anyone know of the average gpa they are accepting? And is this anyone's 2nd time applying? Just wondering. I don't have a back up plan if i dont get in for spring submissions. So was just wondering what everyone else was doing.

It's my first time applying. I don't have a back up plan either, I really hope I get in. I'm not sure about the average GPA.

I also do not have a back up plan. My GPA is 3.7 im expecting to get it. This is my first time applying. I have worked so hard to have good grades, and even through life not holding back because im school. I managed to pull through. This is my only option. From what I believe a 3.6 and up is a guarantee in just from the other classes on all nurses. And a 3.4 and some 3.5 were getting alternate seats

O ok. Mine is a 3.6 something.. I'm hoping I get in as well what campus did u put as your first pick? I have an almost 2 yrs old girl and 2 teenage step sons so life is hectic and iv tried so hard to keep my gpa up id be devastated!

Awww I am right there with u. My son just turned 3 last month, I have 2 step sons also ges 8 and 10. So I feel ur burn. I chose dale mabry the 1 to 4 class. That way if there is a test that I have that morning to study.. or if I by chance stay up all night studying I can sleep before class. Its ideal for me

That works out good. I'm trying to get plant city mornings because it's close to. Where I live and my mom will be able to watch my daughter! Well good luck to you I hope to see all of us get in. Fingers crossed
