I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Just checked and all my documents are now recieved. With hcc transcript being waived. Ok now just waiting on letter of denial or acceptance or alternate seat.

My last name starts with S.

As you get your letters can you also please list your GPA so we know where the line for acceptance is being drawn at.

Hey Silvach, you want to go to USF too right? Have you ever considered one day doing the nurse anesthetist? That's what I'm thinking about now...

Well I originally wanted to be a family nurse practitioner, but rumors are that now they are getting rid of the program because hospitals are wanting to push nurses for a doctors degree in nursing. This is supposed to be the new NP title. So I will for sure go for my bachelor in nursing.. after this I may go for my doctorates or go for the new physician assistance program. ..

Does USF have a physician assistant program?? I don't those rumors are true though, I think they won't start making nurse practitioners have higher degrees until later down the line..

Yes they have one now, the first semester is sorting 2015, the requirements are crazy, might as well apply to med school lol. But the NP is up in the air. I found more info on it, they would ideally would have liked it to take affect 2015. But it isn't a sure thing.

Hey guys! I know lot of u r tensed and waiting for long long time, but yesterday I went back to page one and saw how far and so much info there is in this page. I want to thank SiL for making this happen! Go back to those pages it will elevate any tension u guys have! Made me feel better :-)

Seems like we have come sooo far. I remember us all finally submitting our application lol. Now we are 4 weeks away from the first possibility of getting a response. Its almost here. I enjoy speaking with u all. And im so very happy I created this thread but more importantly, you all are who truly made this thread. Everyone's feedback and shared information is so helpful

Correction 3 weeks* being the soonest to get our letterd. August 25th would be 12 weeks since june 1st. Im sure one last week of august hits we will start hounding our mail carriers lol

Everyone seems really quiet. Well my birthday is Sunday, and for my birthday I treated myself to nursing shoes, and my pen light and 2nd hand watch. My fiance got me a stethoscope, its the double tubed one, des anyone know if it matters? He also got me a pink nurses hand bag :)

Thank u love! Im going to celebrate this weekend. Im so excited.only 2 more weeks not to bad. It will come soon. Before u know it we will have an answer. Im taking fall classes to keep busy too.
