I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.
What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.
Thanks P90X3_Pro. I really need to figure that out, because I wouldn't like to start and work really hard for nothing.Hopefully I can stay.
Orientation is this week!!! Do you have any idea why its sooo long. Th and F from 8 to 4
I think I pasted something from a previous thread before but can't find it:-/ but Thursday they go over everything required before we start,uniforms,physicals,etc. then Friday we are divided into our classes,get to see the nursig classrooms and then we all have to take the drug test. There's a lot more but I can't remember.
I have been following these posts for a long time now and congrats to all those accepted. I was just wondering if anyone have a good contact for the nursing office or admissions. I was an alternate and have not received a letter either accepting me or rejecting me. I am assuming that even if I don't get in as an alternate that they would still let me know right? I have tried calling the nursing director and nursing office and they both go straight to voicemail. Any suggestings? Feeling very frustrated and down right now.

Just send an email to [email protected] and they will respond back to you within 24 hours. Everytime I email them they always respond back with an answer. Good luck.
Wow they really are waiting until the VERY last minute to tell us what campus we are assigned to.... At this point I am thinking they are just going to roll call it out at orientation. Also I was selected as an alternate and went to get my fingerprints done on the 7th the day after I got my letter and they haven't taken the $ for that or cashed the check for my seat acceptance yet either... not sure what's going on but I am showing up for orientation regardless.
Whelp I got my campus assignment this afternoon. Unfortunately, it wasn't my first choice but I will have to make do and move my life around a bit. How did everyone else fair? Are you happy with your assignment?

Hello, I have been following the blog for awhile now. I also have been accepted into the Spring 2014 nursing program. I do have a question, If anyone has any insight I would appreciate it. If you would be able to swap campus assignments with someone else. Thank you and I look forward to getting to know all of you.
