I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.
What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.
My favorite is the new one on 60 in brandon near the Hcc in brandon,but it's up to everyone else.
The new Starbucks on the corner of SR60 & GrandRegency Blvd (By the Brandon Mall) in Brandon is very nice and it also has a nice terrace we can all hang out at. Lets meet there next week on Wend evening at 6PM.:)
Unfortunately, I can't make it to Starbucks do to my work schedule; however, I know the "handsome" FX and I'm sure I can spot him at orientation ..... He can introduce me to the rest of the clan. I'm so excited to meet you all next week!

Hey guys!!! Does anyone know if the hcc nursing program can be transfered to another community college in Miami? I might have to move , that SUCKS.
That's agood question. Each College/University Nursing program has their own curriculum that they follow, so I will be surprised if they would accept a transfer of let's say (NP1) if you were to finish it before you move. I'm sure you can transfer your pre-req classes, but the core nursing classes may be a different story.You will also need to check what the other schools pre-reqs are. They may not be the same as the HCC requirements. I would call Dade County Community College and find out if that's where you are planning to transfer too. Good Luck..
