I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.
What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.
I'm an ALTERNATE!!! Finally after my 3rd time applying! Even though it is not guaranteed at least there is still a possibility that I can get it. It is far better than a rejection. So to all that got accepted and got chosen as an alternate, congratulations!!! To everyone else, if this is really what you want to do, please don't give up. I'm not out of the woods yet but...I'm thinking positive from here on out. Wish me luck :)

Dont worry, just make sure you take a deep breath and relax before they hook up the lie detecter leads. Just lie on the practice questions and then the rest will show up the same...:)

Good Luck, I hope you're able to get in to the Spring 2014 class as an alternate this time around. Think positive thoughts only; there are always a couple alternates that get into each class so you still have hope. Maybe 3x is a charm for you...:)
Thats too funny....I did take a polygraph test about 10 years ago when I recieved my Level II Government Clearence. My Job often assigns me to projects that involve government contracts so i needed to get my clearece a couple years ago. I still have NO idea how i passed that test.:)
I received in the mail a notice today that the dates for orientation had changed and to note the new days, "for accepted applicants". But, I did not receive my acceptance letter. How is that for a twilight zone deal? I'm now in limbo between something implying I was accepted but no darn letter.
