Hello all,
I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.
What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.
yeah it's just a finger print scan on a computer. haha. oh i got the updated orientation page today as well, so i think you are in.also, why and how does anyone have the immunization sheet? it is not in the packet for acceptance?
I figured as much. I couldn't see them giving anything more intricate than that. :)
Thanks for the info on the orientation page. It makes me feel quite a bit better. Now, I guess I just have to wait for the official notice and in the meantime I'll assume that I made it in. Woot!

REMEMBER: Its not what you know, but who you know....Just Kidding... A girl from the Fall 2013 class sent it to me because i wanted to get them done early..
thats cool. Ill just wait till i get sent the proper forms. Im not saying that your immunization forms arent legit but im not taking any chances, whatsoever, when it comes to this program. They will give us everything we need. There isnt really any point in jumping ahead in steps in the process. Got to crawl before you walk.

This is true, but unfortunately one of the shots hep b we had to get done way back because it requires three doses and from the first to second dose you have to wait five months. Although the third dose isn't required, hep b is not something you want to mess around with. We wanted to be 100% immunized. The rest I'll wait until after orientation.

You can actually do the second shot one month after the first. The third one can be between three and six minths aftert the second. I did three months. I just did my Titer too so the shot series within 4 months was effective!
