Hello all,
I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.
What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.
I think it will be closer to the end of next week before we get anything. Local mail delivery only takes 1 day so that means they did not mail anything out yet. Best case scenario is they mail them on Monday and we get them on Tues, but i dont think thats going to happen. Im thinking more like Thur or Fri next week if we're lucky. Ohh well.... we've waited this long, 1 more week wont kill us. Yes or Noooo ? ...:-)

Noooooooooo ;-)
Howdy All:
Just a little scuttlebutt from the rumor mill (take the information with somewhat of a grain of salt -- rumors are just that, rumor!): I just got a call from a friend that I took some classes with for the last few semesters and is also applying this time. He dated a gal that works in the Health Sciences department for a few months....
Sounds like a my cousin-heard-it-from-your-cousin game of telephone doesn't it?
He reports that the Health Sciences board just met on Friday and that letters were printed this morning. It looks like they will not be mailed until Monday at the earliest, so that means Wednesday and Thursday looks like the expected target date. It seems our intrepid FX seems to be 'on the spot' with his prediction (if my sources are correct).
Again; take this for what it is: complete rumor and subjection. People always have their own agenda and purpose, and your letter could be sent in a bottle floating down the Hillsborough river -- or the Manatee in my case. But, I thought I would letcha all know in-case there is even a smidgin of validity to what I heard.
Take it easy.. letter watch is on hold for a bit :)
