Hello there, first time poster, long time lurker

I am applying for the fall 2018 nursing program at HCC. I finished my prerequisites last semester and passed the TEAS. I just need to mail out the application and start the waiting game(I hear it's fun!).

Anyway, while it is early - the deadline is May - I thought I would chance seeing if there is any other interest in the Fall 2018 semester. :)

Hello. I will be submitting my application for the fall of 18' semester and I'm quite nervous but I'm gonna keep pushing. I currently have a 3.47 g.p.a but I'm taking A&P2 lab/lecture and micro lab/lecture and hoping for a successful semester to boost my g.p.a. so far so good. I hope to see you on the other side. I dropped off my application today so I'm in for a long wait. Now that the process has officially started, I'm so nervous. I have a 3.66 GPA on the pre-reqs, TEAS score of 87, and overall GPA of 3.68. I'm hoping it's enough. Seeing posts about Spring 2018 cutoffs and number of applications is stressing me out. Hello. Does anyone know how to actually calculate the gpa? I'm currently taking A&P II with lab, Microbiology with Lab and re-taking a math since I got a C in College Algebra. But Pre-Calculus is super hard to me sometimes. And from my calculations I will have a 3.5 or 3.6.

I just use the college gpa calculator that can be found by a simple Google search. I hope that helps

Do you mind me asking what were your grades for the required classes?

I'm currently taking A&P 2 with lab and micro with lab. I'm hoping to get all A's which will put me at a 3.67 gpa...I'm taking the teas on the 26th of March. I'm hoping to do well on that and get into the program. My other grades are A's and B's

I also hope the cutoff isn't too high just in case I get a B in one of my classes and end up with a 3.57....im so nervous and anxious.

I can pass my pre-calculus with a B, I got a bad grade on a test. I have 1 C and 3 As so far. I am aiming to get As in A&P 2 and Micro. I'm not quite sure on how to calculate the GPA. I need to sign up for the TEAS test.

Hi everyone! I know that no one is probably still active on this post, but I have a question. I currently have all of my pre-reqs and I'm so happy with my grades other than a C+ in Anatomy one...I received a 79.85. Since I go to USF the advisor told me that some students retake a course at a different school (in my case HCC) and hope that they pick the one from the other school. Has anyone tried this or know anyone who was successful in this? Also, does anyone know what a 4 on an AP exam transfers over to? I'm pretty sure it just shows with no grade since it was an AP course. Someone please help!

Hello all,

I'm applying with a 3.52 GPA & 68 TEAS score (which I know doesn't matter). I am terrified & I haven't even submitted the application :( I know my chances are low with my GPA but I'm still giving it a shot!
