Hello there, first time poster, long time lurker

I am applying for the fall 2018 nursing program at HCC. I finished my prerequisites last semester and passed the TEAS. I just need to mail out the application and start the waiting game(I hear it's fun!).

Anyway, while it is early - the deadline is May - I thought I would chance seeing if there is any other interest in the Fall 2018 semester. :)

After I finished my Teas I asked the same question. The lady who printed my results told me that I only needed to get a 60+ to pass and that my prereq and overall GPA are the determining factors. Definitely can't help to ask someone in the nursing department tho! If you get an official answer let us all know!

I took the Teas after being out of school for 20 years. I've been a LowPaidNurse(LPN) for 20 years, the process of getting accepted to a RN program is very competitive. I am hoping they continue the LPN bridge but it is currently suspended.

they do not count the score of your TEAS towards acceptance. As long as you pass, that's all that matters. They look at pre-req GPA, then your overall GPA as the tie-breaker

I spoke with and adviser yesterday at the ybor campus and he told me that the TEAS test was only a pass or fail. He said the score doesnt matter, but im not sure he was correct. Any advise?

I dropped off my application at the post office today and shipped it priority mail. I'm so excited/nervous! Once again I wish everyone good luck. I wonder how long it will take us to find out their decision?

I'm a current student...

The TEAS is pass/fail. They go off pre-req GPA, then cumulative GPA for tie breakers.

Last fall we found out a month and a day after the applications deadline.

He is correct. The score does not matter for HCC, as long as it's above the grade they require

Hi everyone, my gpa is a 3.43 kinda low, I am wishing for the best. But if not, I will apply for spc nursing program. My gpa there is a 3.7, there want a couple extra classes done. Good luck everyone.
