Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

2 more questions lol sorry!!

1. Do they chose your days for you (like Monday/Tuesday lecture and Thursday clinical) or can you chose to be Thursday/Friday lecture and Tuesday Clinical?

2. What hours are clinical

Idk I think the morning/evening have it different. Our days are weekend. Usually Saturday 6:30-4:30. But like I said, one of the groups got moved to Sunday this semester. The time you get out really depends on your clinical instructor. Expect a 10 hour day.

I'm glad you guys are pushing through!!! I read that your teacher was new. Is that why it's been difficult?

And yeah I definitely will not buy anything before hand!!! I'm just a huge planner lmao and want to make sure I have enough money when the time comes.

New but not new to teaching. Just ended up being independent study. We were all learning from the book. Very fair grader so we all passed. Could have been much worse. I know mornings had it really much worse.

Do you remember what CPR certification HCC needs? My work provides it for us, but they are going to change from American Heart Association to Red Cross. So I want to make sure I get the correct one (just in case I get in).

It has to be accredited/ approved by American Heart Assoc. Many hospitals also require same thing too.

AHA is the only one accepted. HCC gives you a discount if/when you go to orientation. Plus you get a partial credit for it.

I submitted both my physical/immunization form and CPR and they were both rejected from Verified Credentials. I'm trying to get in contact with Ms. Baker but I can't seem to reach her at either her email or phone number to get this fixed. Anyone have any idea who I should contact instead?

Contact Ms. Llerena. She should be able to help out. If you used the new physical/immunization forms quite a few were rejected because verified doesn't have the new forms on file. So llerena or someone has to override.

Did they say why your info wasn't accepted? If not you can call verified and speak to an actual person.

I believe I used the new forms for the physical / immunization form.

As for the CPR, it's from the AHA and Verified says it is not. I sent an email to Ms. Llerena and will attempt to contact Verified themselves to get that fixed. Thanks for the info~

So it's your first week. How do you feel? I know I was so overwhelmed! Just remember you are AWESOME you made it, use that same work ethic and you can do it!

A lot of information! I felt overwhelmed only twice so far. Had open lab today and that was a great experience. This weekend I'll be Trying to figure out a study plan. I'm not really sure what is going to work tho so I guess it'll be trial and error for a bit. :-)
