Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

I am! One more prereq to go!
Awesome! Which prereq is that? I have one term of prereqs left this upcoming fall term. I am taking A&PII and Micro along with Spanish. I am a bit nervous taking both at the same time í ½í¸ But glad to see someone else is as excited as me, I have been looking at all of the HCC boards on here!
I plan to apply too! I just need to take College Algebra. I am terrible at math! I've been avoiding it. That and the TEAS and I'm ready. I took A&P2 w Micro and it was very difficult for me. A&P2 was harder than the first one....more physiology. Best of luck!
Oh man I'm in for it . Plus a full time job ! Lol

I noticed you mentioned that you work full time..how many credits did you take per semester while working full time? I'm working full time as well (with 2 hours of commuting each day) and I am debating how many credit hours to pile on as I start my pre-reqs this fall semester. What has your experience been like working full time while taking these pre-nursing classes through HCC?
I take 12 credits per term. I took all online classes, except college algebra and English 1 because at the time I didn't know they can be done online! I have a lot of down time at work so I do a lot of class work at my job!
You're very fortunate to have down time at work in order to do your schooling. That's awesome. I plan to do all my prerequisite courses online as well since it's easiest to go that route while working full time. How demanding did you find the online A&P1 course? I'm considering taking that with STA 2023 online this semester...
I have found that all of my classes I have taken are pretty easy. I always made sure my professors were all rated excellent and it has worked wonders for me. A&P was actually kind of hard but the professor I had I think used a curve. I am pretty sure I had a B in the lecture and a C in the lab but on my final grades I had an A in lecture and B in lab. Other than that I have all As so I would say A&P was pretty demanding. Stats was another demanding class but I had an A and didn't even have to take the final because of it. That was another great professor. I think a lot of it is about the professors you have !!
Ok cool, thanks for the input. I like the fact that I can get into A&P 1 for a few weeks to see how it is before I have to decide whether I want to register for STA. So I can test the waters a bit.
Yes sometimes I love the late start classes because it helps to see how demanding everything will be before you start!
How do tests work for the online courses (A&P specifically)? Are they completed online as well or do you need to go to a campus testing center to do them? If so, do you need to go to the campus you registered at in order to test or can you go to any HCC campus test center? Thanks again for dealing with all of these questions, haha...
