Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)
Thank you! Its not entirely stress free as we are all pushing through the online pharmacology class. But it's definitely a nice "break". Never feel nervous to ask the upper level students Questions. We were in your shoes. And you will be in ours. It's a difficult program but we are all here for the same reason. Good luck!
Thank you again. It's really nice to hear current students answer questions.
It makes me feel optimistic about the future- regardless of the stress involved.
For sure. Our class was in a daze because most of us were walking a line we felt no one had crossed recently. It's doable. You will be fine. The only advice I have is get a NCLEX FUNDAMENTALS book. And see how the questions are asked. The RNs at my hospital gave me theirs and it helped (100% helped) for HESI.

Which book is that? Do you have an ISBN or anything to help me find it?
I just looked on Amazon and a few popped up:
NCLEX Fundamentals of Nursing by Chase Hassen (looks like a small book)
NCLEX_RN Examination Comprehension Review by Silvestri Editions 6 and 7
There are a lot of NCLEX books. Like WHOA! lol
oh and one more question... do many students have a preference of laptop, tablet, or just pen and paper?
You get a lot of Hesi and NCLEX resources with your book package now. It's very helpful for the HESI prep.
You guys will be fine if you put in the effort. We lost five but I honestly can say that it wasn't Max effort on there part. They approached it like they could do things last minute and get passing results. That's not how the RN program works. You have to adjust your time and study habits. Stay positive, work with each other because everybody has strengths and weaknesses that can help you.
Would anyone be able to provide information about orientation? Like what to wear, whet we could look forward to, and how lunch works? I know we're there all day so knowing meal arrangements is very important.
I thought orientation was very lax. I don't remember too much about it. They talk about the program, how to study, resources if you are struggling, info from current students. We got to meet our professor. I think we all took our drug test as well. Lunch was 45 min and I got something off campus. Easy day.
;9492056']Looking forward to seeing the lot of you at the orientation. I'm excited for it.I make might a laminated badge with my allnurses username and picture. I'd be cool to see everyone from here I just don't have a Facebook for the group
Alexander, you previously said you had DM Afternoons? I didn't know who you were during orientation, as there were a few males with our cohort.
