Hillsborough Community College Fall 2017

Published

Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

Hi. I just found this thread and applied for the fall. I have a 3.50 gpa with my prerequisites and my first choice is dale mabry evenings. Can you please add me to the list?

My last name starts with a K

This whole process is too nerve wrecking! I got my AA and finished all my prereqs in December so I've just been waiting to start a nursing program since then & i'm now coming to the realization that I really might not be starting a nursing program till maybe January 2018. My prereq GPA at HCC is an 3.569. At USF I have an 3.88 prereq and I've already been denied for their first cycle. I have a 3.78 prereq at PHSC and I had not been accepted, I've been put on their wait list - they do not tell you what number you are on the wait list. At SPC I have a 3.7 and am now just hopeing I may be put on their wait list and accepted, if I'm put on the waitlist at SPC I won't know if I'm accepted till the end of July :( So anxious praying we are all accepted & for perseverance to never give up

Hi you guys some of you may recognize me for last forms I applied for spring 17 with a 3.667 and got in so don't worry you still have a fighting chance if not LPN is not bad it's only a year and you can always come back don't count yourselves out I know great nurses who didn't get in community college but are RN's and even some Nurse Practitioners! I am going into my second term overwhelmed what I will say is fundamentals was easy but crazy so keep your heads up they take you through all of this because it's not a walk in the park but you can do it whether it's here or wherever don't give up!

What is "SPC"?

And what about those other private colleges like the University of Tampa, Utica or Rasmussen? is it too "junky"?

I believe SPC is St Pete College.

Now I am nervous, I only applied to one program, which is HCC. >.

But, I am sure that many of the 500 applicants applied to multiple places as well, so I wouldn't stress just yet.

SPC is St. Petersburg College. I don't know too much about private colleges, but know they cost a lot (I couldn't afford to go) and I have read some bad reviews online.

You have a great GPA. I am SURE you are going to get in.

And you are right about the inconsistency of some applicants. I know at least 3 people that are already accepted at PHSC and applied to HCC as well. It is definitely an unknown game but your GPA is strong.

HawkNet shows: Anticipated 06/08/17 - perhaps this is the D day!

If youre seeing that on your "progress towards degree" it shouldn't be because mine showed 5/26.

I think that's the day they try and have everything processed
