  1. Thanks for dropping so much wisdom on us I am currently in my second semester at HCC and I just want to follow you omg Facebook or IG if you have one to learn more and pick your brain about everything in Med surg.
  2. No problem just hang in there you guys once your in your focus will be just school and this will be a memory if any questions arise let me know.
  3. It's was 6 weeks first week of October and our orientation was in November!
  4. Hi you guys some of you may recognize me for last forms I applied for spring 17 with a 3.667 and got in so don't worry you still have a fighting chance if not LPN is not bad it's only a year and you can always come back don't count yourselves out I know great nurses who didn't get in community college but are RN's and even some Nurse Practitioners! I am going into my second term overwhelmed what I will say is fundamentals was easy but crazy so keep your heads up they take you through all of this because it's not a walk in the park but you can do it whether it's here or wherever don't give up!
  5. Thank you so much for that NurseRobles17 I appreciate that so much. I also remember the financial aid lady telling me they give additional credits for A.S for a combined 108 so I won't fall into that until after I finish nursing because I will only be taking nursing courses nothing more.
  6. My name is Troyesha I had on a black striped shirt . NurseRobles17 I will have my associates in December and then going for my a.s in nursing in January so you think I won't get it because I will have my associates in arts? I know one lady told me it's by attempt hours and not hours that you have and it's like 118 hours per degree program idk i will just save my financial aid just in case.
  7. No problem I don't think I seen you at the orientation Maricela for evening group
  8. See I was under the impression that financial aid is per degree because one financial aid person tells me one thing the other one told me another I guess I will wait and see. As for trying to register mine said the same and I actually called Pam out nursing instructor over everything she said wait to try tonight or tomorrow morning S they are getting it together.
  9. Omg I'm super nervous about financial aid they are telling me I may have to Appel to reinstate my financial aid during my as anyone know about that I will be getting finishing my A.A next month? Help!!
  10. Thanks for the info I only need one titer the Varicella which I'm doing the titer instead of the actually two does vaccience because of how expensive it is. However I'm starting everything the end of this month after the orientation so I will have it all knocked out before classes start come January. I know they felt the same way first starting but we too won't be as excited once the hard work actually starts I know from hearing my sister in law and step mom talk about it. On a good note we have orientation in another week next Monday!!!! I will be there early so that I find where we are going to be.
  11. I know I think we all are nervous but this program is going to weed out the weak hearted. Nursing is meant to be hard so we will be doing 95% of it on our own. I feel like since I am so hard on myself I won't have much of a life outside of my nursing family because we will become each other's family!!!
  12. No I don't but I'm sure everything will be covered about it in the orientation!
  13. Omg thank you so much for that it really will help a lot but I heard Hcc gives out vochers for books so that everything is covered from previous posts at Hcc. I'm assuming the extras will be out of pocket or financial aid that is remaining but I will also buy them to help me succeed a lot better.
