Hey guys! I've been stalking this forum for a while now and I finally decided to comment.I just submitted my nursing application yesterday at the Dale Mabry campus after receiving a score of 76% on the TEAS on my first try (I was honestly so nervous throughout the entire exam, it was much more difficult than I anticipated).
Anyways, I'm applying with a 4.0 GPA, both overall and pre-requisite, and I'm hoping to get a spot at the Southshore campus since it's my home campus.
I wish everyone the best of luck on getting in to the nursing program! Don't give up ladies, we've all worked hard for this moment! :)
Hi hello!
That's an impressive GPA! Good TEAS too. I think the TEAS was more than we all anticipated- but hey, we all passed and that's what matters.

Thanks! And you're definitely right about that, I'm so glad that HCC only needs a 60 or above overall on the TEAS! I actually ran out of time on the math portion and thought that I was done for
but surprisingly math was one of my highest scores so I'm very grateful about that!
I felt the science was very difficult!
Agreed! It was definitely hit or miss on the science portion. I thought that I was very well prepared for the science section but I felt like everything that I studied wasn't even on it.
It was my lowest score but still passing so I'm good with that.
Hello everyone, as of yesterday I officially graduated the HCC nursing program, our pinning is Tuesday. I just want to say best of luck going into the program. You can make it a stress-free, happy one with due diligence. Don't allow yourself to jump on the anxiety feeding anxiety wagon. Also, sometimes I get alerts here and sometimes I don't. So whenever yal create a FB group and you all want me to join to potentially answer questions, I'll be more than happy to, just send me a PM here and hopefully I'll get the alert.
Also, never forget to mentor the people coming behind you, we are the new millennium nurses that refuse to eat our young. Guide, help and mentor, its what we are meant to do. Much love to everyone!

Girllll I'm telling you, it was all thanks to dedication and hard work!
I'm very dedicated to my studies and I do a lot of research on what professors to take for my courses (a lesson I learned after taking my A&P 1 class; great professor with a passion for the subject but he was very disorganized in lectures, assignments, and tests. I never knew my grade throughout the entire semester until final grades were posted!
). But don't stress, you got this! We all have a fighting chance, I'm just not sure if I can take on the waiting part of the process. I can't waitttt!
