Hillsborough Community College Fall 2017

Published

Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

Everything is good here. Just found the grade I was waiting on is an A! So I'm definitely happy about that- I was so anxious.

I'm happy to get a few days off to get caught up on a few things before summer classes begin.

Soo.... I'm a little confused with my GPA.

In WebAdvisor under "Progress Towards Degree"- if I click on "AS.APPL.NURB A.S. - Applicant / A.D.N. Basic", it shows my GPA as 3.5.

When I choose "A.S. - PreNursing/ADN Basic (AS.PRE.NURSE.BASIC)" it shows my prereq GPA as 3.571.

Entering my grades manually gives me a 3.571 as well.

I emailed an advisor for some clarification and was told "GPA is calculated based off of the 21 pre-req grades".

No explanation about why it's showing 3.5 and not 3.571.

Yeah, I'm a bit annoyed at the moment.

I'm a little confused. When I go into progress towards degree even as adn applicant, it gives me the overall GPA..Not the pre-req gpa...

I think it's because it shows your overrall gpa in the applicant one not just the prerequisite ones

You are correct; however, mine is still a little off so I'll probably have to go in this week and figure it out. :-(

Apparently they calculate the program gpa manually for the program-per an advisor.

Hey, this is my first time posting on here. I dropped off my application last Tuesday and graduated with my AA this past Friday

Hey! Welcome and Congrats on your AA!

What's your GPA and preferred campus? We have a list going. í ½í¸Š

*** only share if you want to of course... sorry if that came off a little rude. :-(

I have a handful of friends who had their pinning and have been posting it all over Facebook. I hope we all get an opportunity to share that same journey. It seems like it's the sisterhood of the travelling pants or some crap like that. Lol you're all in hell together.

Sorry. I'm in a funk. It's been so nice to come here and confide in with you all. This whole applicant process makes one feel like she is in limbo and the deadline hasn't even passed.

Definitely! I'm so anxious about the application process and the deadline hasn't even passed yet. ;_; I'm so impatient when it comes to things like this! But it's nice to be able to talk with all you guys and share this experience :) it helps a lot and I get to meet my potential nursing classmates! :D

I hope everyone's final exams went well!

Anyone doing anything fun and exciting during the break?

How did you do? Did you get your A?
