Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)
Congrats on graduating PRican Lady! By the way, I am going to PR this weekend and I am SUPER excited. It will be my first time :)
I am closing on a house in Fishhawk Friday so I will be a bit closer to all of you Riverview ladies for study groups. I am in the Valrico area right now. As far as working goes, I will have to quit my job as well, which sucks and after 4 years, I'm terrified of quitting . I will most definitely need a part-time job. I have serving experience, so I am probably going to go back to that so that I can work nights and weekends around my school schedule. My fiance is supposed to be getting a BIG raise this month, so if I find that we can manage without me working, I definitely don't want to. This year is perfect though, because I will be going from $1,400 rent to a $1,000 house payment. I will also have my car paid off in July and my daughter is going into Kindergarten which means no more hefty daycare bill!! If anyone else has part-time job ideas that pay decent, let me know. I don't necessarily want to go back to waitressing, but I will do what I have to do.
Hi everyone! I kind of freaked out when I saw "Nursing Prerequisites UNDER REVIEW Nursing 17/FA Not Rec'd ASAP Adm, Reg, Rec" in hawknet. I emailed the health science department and this is what they said:
If at this time your WebAdvisor is not showing any of your application documents, it means that your application packet has not been processed yet. When we begin to process applications your WebAdvisor will show "ASAP" or "Not Received" and a notification below UNDER REVIEW†in those documents are in progress. They will remain open until they have been completely evaluated by the Health Sciences Admissions team.
Just thought this would help!

Hey corinnepaige91,
Congrats on the move! So glad you'll be close by for study groups I live near Riverview as well so we'll definitely be able to meet up for studying! As for part-time job ideas, I currently work at Home Depot and they are very flexible with scheduling when it comes to school. I have a co-worker who is currently only working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday due to his demanding school schedule so Home Depot may be a place you could look into if you don't mind a cashier position. The pay is also pretty decent for part-time and they are currently hiring. :) If I think of any other part-time job ideas I'll let you know!

Thank you very much. That's really help!
Hello everyone, as of yesterday I officially graduated the HCC nursing program, our pinning is Tuesday. I just want to say best of luck going into the program. You can make it a stress-free, happy one with due diligence. Don't allow yourself to jump on the anxiety feeding anxiety wagon. Also, sometimes I get alerts here and sometimes I don't. So whenever yal create a FB group and you all want me to join to potentially answer questions, I'll be more than happy to, just send me a PM here and hopefully I'll get the alert. Also, never forget to mentor the people coming behind you, we are the new millennium nurses that refuse to eat our young. Guide, help and mentor, its what we are meant to do. Much love to everyone!
Congratulations!!!! and Thank you for your help and guidance!
