Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)
Lol so it seems now I am not getting the updates on this thread.
OK, so I submitted my application two weeks ago (along with my transcript from my last school). It looks like the school received my transcript, but not my nursing application. Has anyone already submitted theirs and see it on webadvisor? I think I am going to wait until Thursday and give them call (or email.)
I see that yall are making a list? I assume with our pre-req GPAs and first choice? If so, you can add me :) So far I have a 3.7 and Southshore is my first choice.
Well, the application deadline should after final grades are in anyway, so they will be counting your pre-req GPA at the end of the application cycle. Applications are due no later than May 15 and the semester ends May 8.
oh i know i just wanted to make sure i listed the right one for our group gpa list.i have another question maybe you could answer for me please. on the application it says you can apply before finishing your prereqs as long as they are completed by the deadline and you receive a C or higher. does that mean that they use your gpa at the time you apply and than just make sure you pass the remainder or do you wait to see your full gpa at the end?
OMG! You're doing phenomenal to be speaking english for such a short time and going into nursing. What helped me was to read alot of practice questions, with the same "lingo" as what they use in nursing school, hesi and nclex. I used the Nclex mastery app on the phone, it's $30 but they do sales for $15 every so often, keep an eye out for it, meanwhile, use the free version.
I am working on a speed reading. hope my English is getting better when the time goes by. I just start study English 2 years ago. I don't know how long it takes for me to become fluent. The English language is so difficult.:(

I am taking it through a PSI center. I am a military spouse, currently living in VA.
Hi Mamallama, I am also a military spouse! Is your spouse going to be stationed at MacDill AFB? We came from NC :)

I will look into it. The app call "lingo"? Thank you very much. I don't want to fall behind.
I also don't see any change on my progress towards degree. Under "My Documents" in Webadvisor, does it show anything for TEAS, I only see my military transcripts, previous college and FAFSA stuff. I don't see high school transcripts received either (I know for sure they received them because I am currently a student) but I was more focused on whether the TEAS should be shown as "received"?

I did send an unofficial copy of my transcripts with my application. Not sure if it was necessary or not.
For those like me where english is not the first language, please work on your timing as all of the exams are timed, especially the HESI's.
Clinical rotations vary, I never went to Tampa Gen or Brandon Hosp.
The gpa that they use is the one from pre-requisites. However, when there are ties, they use the overall to break the tie.
