Hillsborough Community College Fall 2015

Published

Just finished my prereqs and getting my application ready to submit for the fall term at Hillsborough Community College. All A's and except one C for my prereqs, brings my GPA to 3.71. Hopefully it's good enough to get me in.

Anyone else applying to this school for fall?

Im sad to say, my GPA was a 3.3....Not great, but apparently good enough to get onto the waiting list!

Exactly! And I'm sure people will be declining their seats bc it happens all the time. Fingers crossed for you! I've seen the lowest approved at 3.53 so far, so you're not too far away.

To the person who already went to ybor for the finger print and background check.... How long were you there? What all did they do? Just wondering because I need to go, but need to plan for getting a sitter :)

Thank you! I'm trying not to get too excited because I know it's still a longshot, but I'm hoping it works out :) :)

I will be applying for the Spring 2016 class! Does anyone know how many people they accept into their program?

I did my finger prints last friday and the whole process only took 10 mins. All they do is scan your fingers.

Hi Blair!

I plan on applying for the Spring 2016 class as well. I'm curious how many acceptances the program gives too..which campus are you hoping for? I'm hoping for Dale Mabry eve/weekends.

Thanks for the reply about the fingerprints! That's great! And to the others wondering about amount they admit, I thinks it's around 140 ppl. They divide the students up to about 26 or so per campus.

Hi everyone! I haven't been reading what you guys have posted, but I am in NP1 Dale Mabry mornings. I have decided to withdraw from the program, for my own reasons. Just decided it wasn't for me. I have all my books, so if anyone is interested please let me know. I'm not sure how it works with the access codes and all that, but since I will probably be selling them without them I will sell my set for $250 I think I bought everything for $700. This includes the castillo workbook that I know Mrs. Richey for the Dale Mabry morning class requires. And this book alone is $60- and doesn't come in the set you buy from evolve. The books have some highlighting, and the castillo book has 2 assignments ripped out but I have them and can put them back.

ALSO for anyone who has Mrs. Richey- I highlighted very important things for one of the tests. So that should be a BONUS! :) I am going to talk to the dean also and see if I can give my username and password as well so you can have the online books I paid for as well.

Thanks, and let me know if your interested

OH and I am selling my scrubs too. I am 5'3 and the scrubs are x-small pants, and x-small and small tops. I had to get the pants hemmed cause they were too long! These should fit anyone around my height. 2 pants and 2 tops with the patches. Also 1 scrub jacket and shoes. I wear a size 8. I will sell it all for $80. Or individually. The shoes alone were $40. I also have the bandage scissors and pen light I will throw in there :)

Anyone know about this arrangement? My neighbor, who is a nurse, told me about it.

Hello! My name is Timekka and I was also accepted for the Fall 2015 semester. I'm excited but especially nervous because I have never taken classes at HCC before! Look forward to meeting you all!
