Hi all, I'm Vanessa and I was accepted to the Fall 2015 program! Funny story: my acceptance letter actually got lost in the mail,I'm assuming it was delivered to the wrong house which unfortunately happens ALL the time. I received a phone call a couple of days ago from HCC asking if I was still interested in the program since I never returned my documents from my acceptance packet. You can imagine my confusion, shock, and excitement lol. I told them that I was very much interested and that I never received my acceptance packet, so they emailed me all of the documents and I just dropped them off in person today!

Hi Vanessa. The same thing actually happened to me too! Only mine was returned to them so they called me the day everything was due and I had to do it on the spot.

I thought the uniform was the opposite. Maroon top white pants, but I like the combo you said better! LOL
Wait, you got your alternative acceptance letter?! Congrats!! Glad it worked out! We should be hearing about campus assignments soon I hope!

Hahaha it might be the opposite. I tend to ignore him when he talks LOL. Thanks so much! I can't wait to find out what campus I'm at. What was your first choice campus assignment?

Oh my gosh, Vanessa I would have freaked. All of my acceptance letters that I returned BACK to them I brought in person because of that reason. I apparently have trust issues with the post office. LOL

Hello everyone ... I'm a complex case. I used to be apart of the USF BSN program but I failed my clinical rotation. I was not accepted back into the program. This was my fourth semester! I've had trouble in clinical in the past because I didn't have that one to one help and I needed that healthcare experience. Since I am now a student nurse in the CVICU ..I definitely have developed autonomy and seen things clearer. This is just a detour in my life right now.

I am applying to the HCC nursing program for fall of 2015. I am planning on purchasing the TEAS review book and studying all of April to take it in mid march and submit my application in June :). I'm hoping that I get in with my 3.8 prereq gpa. All A's and one B back when I was in community college. This is a fickle for me but I know the second time around I will succeed!

I remember seeing HCC. nursing students at TGH. It's crazy that I might be in that uniform coming from a prior USF nursing student. My dream is to be a nurse..I was so close but I'm putting on my bootstraps and moving forward. This will be my second chance . I'm also applying to PHSC and possibly SPC as well.

If you are applying in June that will be for the spring 2016 start date. The deadline for the fall 2015 term was Jan 15.

Can people post when they get their letters with class assignments. I am checking everyday, getting really nervous because I am in the military and the only option I can take is nights/weekends. I hope my grades are good enough to get it, otherwise I will have to reapply in June and try to get nights and weekends again.

I thought the class assignments will be determined during orientation. I think that is in June.

They can't wait for June that is the date for spring applications, if a student doesn't get the assignment they need they can apply again. I sent an email to the health science admissions and this is what she sent me:

Congratulations and thank you for your email. The campus assignments will be sent close to April. Please be advised that we will try to accommodate the students in their top choices. The campus will be assigned following the prerequisite GPA of the students accepted from the highest to the lowest.

Close to April? We are in April so I'm guessing that means any day now?? I have never checked my mail more consistently lol

Just got a reply form the health science admissions and she said "We expect to send the campus assignments before the of May 2015." Clearly there is some kind of speech barrier. I guess that means before May?
