Hillsborough Community College Fall 2010

U.S.A. Florida

Published

hello! i just joined this lovely and informative site after lurking for a few weeks. i'm planning to apply for the program after this fall semester. (need to finish a&pII and college algebra).

who else?! :)

edit: can someone walk me through the application process? i know it's pretty easy, but i like knowing 100%! i'm not sure if an adviser would help me much. i know you need high school transcripts, an hcc application and a nursing application. then you just gather all the papers (including money?) in like a.... manila envelope and mail away? or can you electronically send your high school transcripts to them? thank you.

ooo that's great news!

When did you send it? I'm curious to see how long it's taking them...

i got the e-mail tonight, too! it's great to get an acknowledgement that my application was received but read what it says about the "my documents" section:

thank you for your interest in the health sciences program at

hillsborough community college. your application for the nursing

program was received.

in order to keep track of your application requirements, logon to

webadvisor https://hccadvisor.hccfl.edu and click on my documents.

please visit this link periodically as information may be updated

that could impact your admission status.

if there are missing documents, please be aware that all documents

must be received by the established program deadline.

fall term deadline - january 15

spring term deadline - june 1

my documents still show "not received"...it's just a little unnerving when the deadline is tomorrow!!

Squeen...

I submitted my application on Tuesday, January 5th, so it took 8 days for them to send the acknowledgement.

Yaaayyyy! I got the email as well (thanks for the heads up). Nick did and Squeen did you guys get yours too? My Documents haven't been updated either but I guess they probably won't be doing that for a while. Just to confirm, we didn't have to include another high school transcript right?

I'm sorta late to the game here, but have decided just recently to apply to HCC too. For those of you who took classes at HCC in previous semesters and are now applying for Fall, did you also include an official transcript from HCC in your application packet. (B/c I'm applying "just on time", I don't want to miss anything that I have to include). TIA. :)

ETA: No Worries...found the answer.

I'm happy you guys are so relieved. I dropped mine off on Tuesday, so I probably won't receive the email for a bit, but I did send the postcard and am hoping for it tomorrow.

As far as the highschool transcripts are concencerned, you don't have to submit them if you were already accepted to HCC prior to sending in your nursing application.

Thanks squeen. And I'm sure your postcard will be arriving soon :)

Hi everybody! I am a little worried. I dropped off my application in December, just before HCC closed for the winter break. I have not got any e-mail acknowledgement yet. Does it mean it got lost??? What should I do?

Elga I would go up to the DM campus today. Do you have a back-up of all of your documents so you can bring a new packet with you today just in casE?

Thanks for yr advise. Did everybody who dropped off the application before New Year get an e-mail? Or am I the only one?

I received my postcard today!!!

No e-mail yet, but I feel a lot better now.

Elga, I think it's an excellent idea to go up there. Emailing M.F. didn't do a thing for me, and she's the only person to talk to about applications and such. Just insist on talking to a real human being, and don't take no for an answer :)

Good luck.

They cashed my check! As far as I'm concerned they BETTER have all of my documents since I'm out of those $53, lol.
