Hillsborough Community College Fall 2010

Published

hello! i just joined this lovely and informative site after lurking for a few weeks. i'm planning to apply for the program after this fall semester. (need to finish a&pII and college algebra).

who else?! :)

edit: can someone walk me through the application process? i know it's pretty easy, but i like knowing 100%! i'm not sure if an adviser would help me much. i know you need high school transcripts, an hcc application and a nursing application. then you just gather all the papers (including money?) in like a.... manila envelope and mail away? or can you electronically send your high school transcripts to them? thank you.

Hi everyone...Here is a coupon code for BORDERS bookstore if you have any book shopping to do. This one is a good one... 33% off any one item... Here's the code:

Hope you are all doing great!

Guys, our prof has not sent us the list of books yet. Could you please post a link or publish the list here.

I have everything except for Castaldi. But I'm not sure which edition is required.

Thanks!

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that we are 18 days away from the first day of class and we haven't been given any final information on clinical assignments?? I have to enroll my children in childcare and can't do so until I can tell the provider which day of the week I need care for!! SO frustrating! I know the prof. mentioned Wednesdays, but that was TENTATIVE...

Nickdost, Thanks for your fast reply about the books.

I am in Dale Mabry 1PM class. We got a letter from our prof that our clinical day is Tuesday.

We just got it yesterday.

Contact your instructor. She should know too.

Hi Everyone. Does anyone know if Mrs. Sandrowitz is in her office normal business hours? I am not able to get an email response from her lately.

hey everyone. according to the website and my prof, the cost of the bundle is $415.62 and that price does include ebooks. for those who have not purchase the books already and are awaiting the bundle (such as myself...by force not choice, but i digress) the ebooks sound like a very, very good way to study. check out some of the benefits:

*[color=#afbd1f] [color=#2731f9]conveniently access your books anywhere you have your computer or internet access (install ebooks on 1 computer with additional access to your ebooks online from any computer) windows or mac.

*[color=#2731f9]multiple search options enable you to research specific topics and find answers in seconds.

*[color=#2731f9]create personalized notes that call attention to key facts or reminders.

*[color=#2731f9]save time by highlighting and color coding important content for instant recall.

*[color=#2731f9]share notes and highlighted information with individual classmates or study groups.

*[color=#2731f9]store and organize information in custom folders.

*[color=#2731f9]create personalized study guides by exporting notes, highlights, illustrations, tables, references, and more to external documents.

* [color=#2731f9]watch videos and animations directly in your ebooks.

Elga...you are welcome...glad to help! :)

Well, for my classmates in the morning DM program...I received confirmation today from our instructor that our clinical day is definitely WEDNESDAY. I wrote her an e-mail asking if she could just confirm the day so that I can finalize childcare. I figured I would pass it along... Hope all is well and see you soon!

nickdost thanks for answering me awhile ago! And thanks for the allheart code because I used it! :)

I'm about to do the math since the package is $412 and compare it to Amazon. But I'm sure its still cheaper.

Two weeks from tomorrow everyone! (well for nights lol) I am so nervous. Procrastinating is not helping! Probably the least of my worries but it seems to keep coming up for me, do we need badge holders for our I.D?

Also, just thought I'd share this deal if you all haven't heard of it yet. Amazon is offering a 1 year free prime membership to college students. It's basically free two-day shipping on textbooks and many other items :)

Ceedeee,

I am SO glad to hear that you used the code...I am happy to help! :)

I just talked to the bookstore about the ID situation...probably won't be able to get mine until classes start. Yes, we need a badge holder, either one that pins onto the scrub shirt OR a lanyard type that you wear around your neck.

FYI...they do NOT have the two Care Plan Packets that are required, yet, in the bookstore.

Take care...

Ceedee did your order your scrubs from somewhere called allheart? If so, how do you like them and how long did they take to arrive?

I'm so nervous. And behind. Story of my life *sigh*.
