hello! i just joined this lovely and informative site after lurking for a few weeks. i'm planning to apply for the program after this fall semester. (need to finish a&pII and college algebra).

edit: can someone walk me through the application process? i know it's pretty easy, but i like knowing 100%! i'm not sure if an adviser would help me much. i know you need high school transcripts, an hcc application and a nursing application. then you just gather all the papers (including money?) in like a.... manila envelope and mail away? or can you electronically send your high school transcripts to them? thank you.
My docs still say not rec'd but I have just somehow been distracted enough to not let it get to me. Wait...maybe it's because a HELLACIOUS puke/poo bug has made its way through my entire house!!! Anyway...awesome news, squeen! Take care, all!
Nick based on what MF said I'm confident they have your docs, they just need to get through the pile and process them (whatever that means). I hope everyone feels better though!!!

Yes, Tebyrd, I agree and feel okay about my docs, even though they say not rec'd...I just want to know that I AM IN!! The wait is SO difficult...but as I said we have had plenty of distractions. Doing better, now, though..thanks! If MF and the committee stick to what they said, they will be meeting either NEXT week, or the following week...cross your fingers and everything else you have on that one!! :heartbeat
Hi there SQUEEN, my docs changed yesterday as well...just did not have time to log on and share my relief. My grad date says 2/14 as well .....thought this was a 2 year degree...haha. They still have not looked at my other transcripts to see that i do have the english and math....but i know that they will. I just hope they use the MAC with the best grade and not what i got in MAC (college alegebra). everyone just let me know about the drinks....i am in!
I completely agree nick, the only relief I'll feel is when I'm holding that acceptance letter!
I'm so nervous!!! I have never wanted something this bad!! I think I'm going to jump out of my skin. I'm going to try and stay distracted. I did have a horrible cold and then a stomach bug for 2 weeks, and you're right nick, it is a good distraction!! Hopefully I can keep myself busy without being sick or visiting the bar every night.

Ok, so I'm back on the Worry-Wart Bandwagon and the tires on this thing are about to blow out
Just finished reading some horror stories from the last class and I read that the floor was a 3.42. I'm at a 3.57 when I do my calculations and my progress toward degree thingies shows a 3.6 since they haven't reflected my English and Math from undergrad (English was an A, Math was a B if they go with College Algebra and not STat. which stat was a C but they wouldn't do that to me right? That's cruel and unusual punishment )
So this is nuts considering I've calculated this online over ten times but what do you think guys:

Don't worry about it!!! It is a 3.57! I too got a C in A&P lab :)
They won't count your stat either by the way, they will use the college algebra.
The last I read was a 3.3 getting in for spring, and I think nick said something about hearing a 3.1...
I calculated mine to be a 3.61 IF they use my english 2 (since i got AP credit and didn't take ENC1101) or a 3.55 if they just drop it to 18 credit hours (i will be so ****** if the do UGH!)
I emailed MF asking if they would use the english, since when I sat down with a regular advisor she did calculate it in. No response though. It would make things a little easier if I knew something!!!
I just want to go to sleep and wake up in the middle of March so I don't have to feel like this!! I think all the worrying might make me sick

I looked at the girl's threads who the info from last year's fall class (Nurse2011 I think is the screenname) and realized that their class had a different set of issues which is what scared me silly. I won't share the horror though, no need for everyone to go bananas before school even starts, lol. But I hope they do calculate your ENC grade instead of removing credit hours. Either way we're in there like swimwear right? Just nod and smile, lol!
