hello! i just joined this lovely and informative site after lurking for a few weeks. i'm planning to apply for the program after this fall semester. (need to finish a&pII and college algebra).
who else?! :)
edit: can someone walk me through the application process? i know it's pretty easy, but i like knowing 100%! i'm not sure if an adviser would help me much. i know you need high school transcripts, an hcc application and a nursing application. then you just gather all the papers (including money?) in like a.... manila envelope and mail away? or can you electronically send your high school transcripts to them? thank you.
SQUEEN, i know what you mean, i watch football all day every football season with my hubby. I keep telling him that he does not know how lucky he is to have a wife that will do that. I already warned him that we will have to take a two year break, as i will be in nursing school.......God's willing! TEBYRD i can relate to you too, i have two sons and the eldest is now starting his first season playing tackle football.....exciting! My 3 year old just started T-Ball and we are all over the place from practice to games...ect. Maybe some of us should get together for a play date or drinks...(not the two together...lol) maybe good practice for when we have to study together.:)
It is sooo true, kmangirl! Our men are very lucky that we like football and even actually know what's going on!
I must say GEAUX SAINTS for this weekend!!!
Anyways, to update you guys...
My Docs changed from "no received, waived, etc", to having the actual list of nursing things now! They still say not received by them (but they cashed the check, so they are lying! lol). This is some progress!!!! So, kmangirl, yours should change today or tomorrow!
I never got an email from them though. If I wasn't a part of this site I wouldn't even know to check My Docs. THANKS GUYS!
Squeen according to MF that means they're received. When they've processed your App (whatever that means), then they'll flip each item to "received" and they'll list the date they received it. And they'll update the "Progress Toward Degree" link as well although they haven't placed my courses from my other school there but I'll give them some more time for that.
Hi SQUEEN and TEBYRD, i just checked and my docs have all the requirments listed but they also still say not received. Last night at 9 it was not like that. i am so relieved that my docs list changed. My last name starts with L so i am not sure if alphabetical order has anything to do with it. Seems like that would be alot of work to do it tha way with all the apps...i think it may be just first come first served. Thanks so much for all the support and advice.

Moderation indeed (if wine could be turned into water then I think it's a pretty safe escape, lol).
I"m wayyyyyyy too far into break mode. Finally working out again after a year and trust me I needed to! It feels good to have a little piece of my life back. Between this full time corporate (ugh!) job, my child, his T-ball practices (did I tell you he started T-Ball at the New Tampa league?), my relationship, friends, everything I just want to relax for a minute. Granted I know I'll pay for that decision when I"m sleeping all of 2 hours a day. I'm torn between relishing the freedom that I have left and positioning myself for program success (which btw, have I mentioned I have no plan B? nope, don't believe in one right now, lol. I'm going to be an HCC nursing student in the fall or bust :)).
