hello! i just joined this lovely and informative site after lurking for a few weeks. i'm planning to apply for the program after this fall semester. (need to finish a&pII and college algebra).

edit: can someone walk me through the application process? i know it's pretty easy, but i like knowing 100%! i'm not sure if an adviser would help me much. i know you need high school transcripts, an hcc application and a nursing application. then you just gather all the papers (including money?) in like a.... manila envelope and mail away? or can you electronically send your high school transcripts to them? thank you.
I am so happy! I was worried cause I never got my postcard back and today I checked "My documents" on the HCC web-site and I saw that my application has been received!!
Happy to hear! when did you submit your app? i keep checking under my docs and it says "you have no received, missing or requested docs"...whats up with that?
Hi SQUEEN, how r you? Just wanted to let you know that my check was chashed on 1/27...yeahhh! has yours cleared yet? Its the first...hopefully we will not have too much longer to wait.
I checked last week, and nothing. I'll have to check today. Still no email or anything online!! I got a bad cold and wasn't able to go to gasparilla!! Ugh, story of my life!
Glad to hear that everyone's getting updates! My documents still say 'Not Received' at least I got the postcard and an e-mail update awhile back. I turned in my application mid-December so I guess it is definitely random. *sigh*
Btw gasparilla was great. Even though I got soaked in the beginning! I brought an umbrella but when I went to use it the wind just turned it inside out so there was no point lol. Oh well.
Sorry to have been absent for a while...I have had to let this go a bit. The stress of waiting/wondering is CRAZY! I don't know how spiritual any of you are, but I think we just need to turn it over. If it is meant to be, it will be...for ALL of us. (As I pour a 2nd glass of wine)!
They cashed my check, finally, but my documents still read NOT REC'D...frustrating, but once again...NOT gonna let it get to me any more!!
