HFCC Winter 2015 Nursing

Hello Everyone,

Just thought Id make a thread to talk to any other HFCC Winter 2015 students. I was one of the last people on the wait list, and should be in the winter 2015 students. Any others that are on the wait list or anyone that applied?

Would love to talk to you guys.

I'm still waiting for my email and I was on select admits. Stormm14, when did you receive your email. And did you hear from someone who knows 100% that select admits haven't been emailed yet?

I just got my invitation letter today :) Orientation is on the 13th. So excited to begin this journey with everyone!

Has everyone that received an acceptance email, received their acceptance letter in the mail? I still haven't received mine, Im afraid they might have my old address. Even though on my account on web advisor it has the current address, and I have received stuff from HFCC to my new address.

I had applied in selective admission. I got the letter from the nursing school that I have been chosen as an alternative. If the seats fall empty, I might get a shot.

When --------------------- called me, even before I received the email, she asked me for confirmation of my current address. Thank goodness she did because I forgot to update my address on webadvisor. So she took my new address verbally on the spot. BUT, my address on webadvisor was still showing the old address, which probably means the nursing dept. Database might have a totally separate address as whatever is on webadvisor. You should call ---------------- tomorrow and double check that they have the correct address if it doesn't come tommorow. I'm sure it's something minor.

I think Ill stop by the nursing dept tomorrow, and see whats going on. They probably have my old address.

Turns out they did have the right address.The post office probably sent it to the wrong address or lost it. Im so thankful they sent out emails first, otherwise I probably would have missed orientation and my seat would have been given up.

They gave me a copies of the acceptance letter, and instructions.

I was also interested in applying to HFCC. I was taking a few courses at Wayne State but I wanted to switch majors and do nursing in HFCC. I am confused as to what are the program requirements, ( DO you have to complete the NAT test and the five requirements for Bio, CHM, Eng and PSY) and then apply for the program or you have to do the program required core courses and then you have to apply for the program? Any suggestions would be appreciated :) Thanks!
