Hi,
Here's the information:

Good luck, I remember stressing over this test and searching the boards for all the information I could get. As long as you read my post and study the information I pointed out then you will be fine. I forgot to mention also on the A & P section there was a couple of questions pertaining to the ear. My advise is to do the sections you are most comfortable with first this will boost your confidence. Use scratch paper while doing your math, this will avoid careless mistakes. Last but not least take your time especially during the reading portion.
I took the Hesi Entrance Exam back in February. I would definetly invest in the study guide I got it for around $25.00 and it was helpful. Here is the breakdown for the sections I was required to take:Math/score 90%:This section was dead on with the study guide. As long as you go through the entire section, do all practice problems, memorize your conversion chart, roman numerals, military times, and how to set up porportions from a word problem you will be fine.
Vocabulary/score 75%: This section contained words straight from the vocabulary section of the book. Make sure you look over these.
Grammar/score 94%: The grammar section was basically a sentence and you have to choose the word that does not belong. Ex. My name are Kathy. The sentence should read My name is Kathy. The wrong word used is are.
Reading/score 93%: This section was a little tricky. Just take your time with this section, some of the answers seemed to be tricky. Always look back at the paragraph to confirm your answer.
Anatomy & Physiololy/score75%: In my opinion this section was nothing like the study guide! Some of the questions I knew and some I just guessed.
Hope this helps good luck.
I just took my assessment for Darton in Albany and my scores and thoughts of the test are almost spot on w/ this that it is scary.
2bLEOTHENURSE,
Can you tell me what is on the BIOLOGY AND A&P SECTIONS, I am scheduled to take the HESI on June 18 so I only have three weeks to study and one try to get a score as good as yours. So hopefully you can help me. I have the HESI study guide and it seems too basic. Did you use any other study guides and if so which ones. I would appreciate any pointers that you have to offer.
Thank you
I have the study guide in PDF format on my computer. I can send it to you somehow probably. I took it february for FSU's nursing school. I think a scored well on it. I did not get into FSU though.
By any chance would you be able to send me a copy of this? I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks.:loveya:
I also found that www.studydtack.com is an AWESOME tool to help study for the HESI and NCLEX. Good Luck to everyone!
