Hello I took my HESI exam yesterday and I passed with a 72.5 I was pretty happy since I didnt study at all for it. However I already have my Bachelors in Biology and I have a 3.2 gpa do you think I have a good shot at getting into the nursing program??? The school I am applying for recommended that we had to pass the Hesi with at least a 70 but they do work off a point system.

Oh really so the hesi review book is helpful in the grammar, vocab, and reading portion. This is great news! I have checked everywhere but nobody will say what the biololgy and anatomy is like on the exam. Thank you for the information I really appreciate it.

nrsendamakn11 could you please tell me what the biology and a &p portion of the exam is like??? i have the hesi review book i have studied all the biology and a&p from the guide but i heard thats not good enough. is the reading comp, grammar, and vocab a lot harder than in the book??? please i would appreciate some studying tips before i take this exam on june 18th. thank you

2bLEOTHENURSE, Can you tell me what is on the BIOLOGY AND A&P SECTIONS, I am scheduled to take the HESI on June 18 so I only have three weeks to study and one try to get a score as good as yours. So hopefully you can help me. I have the HESI study guide and it seems too basic. Did you use any other study guides and if so which ones. I would appreciate any pointers that you have to offer. Hello Everybody, I would like some advice I am taking the HESI Entrance Exam on June 18 2009. I have just started studying. I printed out the westcoast university guide is this guide similiar to the exam??? My next question is what should I study for Biology and A&P. I would appreciate it if I can get some feedback on what to study in these two sections since the HESI book is too basic. PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you

So its less than four years if I have all the Pre-Reqs done?? I have my Bachelors in Biology from Barry University, I have all the pre-reqs out of the way. I have to take the cpt reading portion for Miami Dade College.

Hey Carygt3, Well I didn't apply to FIU because their program is four years which is too long;however, I applied to MDC and I still have to take the entrance exam before September 1st just the reading portion. We'll see what happens.

I know!!! I was soooo disappointed. Barry's program is wayyyy too expensive $54,000 dollars plus my undergraduate degree loans which equal 34,000 with a grand total of $88,000 dollars I dont think its worth it. I will never pay it off.

I didn't get in either However I applied to Barry's Program for Spring 10. We will see what happens.

Hi Chichi, So Nova has a better facility than UM?? But Nova doesnt offer an accelerated Nursing program. Nova offers a 36 month program which for me is too long. I would believe you would have a good chance of getting into the University of Miami's program since your an ALUMNI. What did you get your undergraduate in??

Hey CHICHI, Thanks for responding Im glad Im not the only one waiting for an acceptance letter. I also called University of Miami and they notified me that they will be sending out acceptance letters the second week of May. CHICHI When did you send out your application?? Do you already have an undergraduate degree?

Hello Tatiny03, Wow you waited along time to hear if you got accepted! I applied after the March 1st deadline;however, they told me that it was not an issue and they already have all of my info, transcripts, letter of recommendation etc. When do you think I will hear something back??? Do you also know people that are still waiting for an acceptance for the accelerated program in Fall 2009???
