HESI Admission Assessment Test for Nursing School

Published

Hello everyone, I will be taking the HESI Evolve A2 nursing entrance test. What do you all think of the exam if you have taken it.Do you think i honestly need to buy that expensive study guide, Im now studying from a BARONS book. Please tell me what yall thought of the exam andyour score

thanks!

The ISB for that study guide is: 1416056351 or 978-1416056355 I got this information off of Amazon.I ordered my study guide off of amazon.com and it was really helpful. I took the test for Columbus State in GA and I scored a 87% average and needed a 75% or above. I also only had to take the english, math, reading and vocabulary. The test I took was online and I was also able to use a calculator. DONT STRESS over it! You should do fine. If you study the study guide you'll do fine. I ended up getting in at the school I am at (WEST GEORGIA). Best of luck to you!

could you please tell me what the biology and a &p portion of the exam is like??? i have the hesi review book i have studied all the biology and a&p from the guide but i heard thats not good enough. is the reading comp, grammar, and vocab a lot harder than in the book??? please i would appreciate some studying tips before i take this exam on june 18th.

thank you

When I took the exam, I wasn't required to take those portions of the test (A &P and biology). So I can't give you any advice about those parts. But you should be able to find other student's posts who have taken those parts of that test throughout this website and they could better assist you. But the grammar was super easy. If you can point out fragments,run-ons, mispelled words ect, you should do fune. I scored a 98% on that part. The reading wasn't hard either.I scored an 85%. I would just advise you to just pace yourself if you have a timed test (mines wasn't). The vocab part was the ONLY part that gave me a hard time. I scored a 65% (needed a 70%) .I did bad because I didn't bother studying that part of the study guide and put most of my time into grammar, math and reading.but MAKE SURE YOU LOOK OVER THAT VOCABULARY. That's my weakness so I really should have studied it more.Luckily, The vocab on the test comes STRAIGHT FROM OUT THE BOOK!

If you studied the study guide you will do fine.

Oh really so the hesi review book is helpful in the grammar, vocab, and reading portion. This is great news! I have checked everywhere but nobody will say what the biololgy and anatomy is like on the exam.

Thank you for the information I really appreciate it.

Your Welcome ..Its very helpful.Best of Luck to you!

I took the HESI last week and passed with an 88%! I was so nervous going in and actually had a lot of post test anxiety!

I had the study guide (helpful) the HESI "secrets" (eh kind of helpful) and then I re-read through A&P, Chem and Bio study guides (Cliffs etc).

Good luck to everyone else scheduled to take it!

IM in a CRISIS.... I bought a Assesment book online and the lady sent me the wrong one... So now my HESI test is like a week away and I do ont have no materials to study or even go over to see what it is going to be like. I seen that someone had a PDF file with some study notes. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could send me those. I do not have time to reorder another book let along money to pay for another one. I hope someone can help me.

Sorry to save time and hardache my email is [email protected]

same to you Mia!!

Hello I took my HESI exam yesterday and I passed with a 72.5 I was pretty happy since I didnt study at all for it. However I already have my Bachelors in Biology and I have a 3.2 gpa do you think I have a good shot at getting into the nursing program??? The school I am applying for recommended that we had to pass the Hesi with at least a 70 but they do work off a point system.
