You may recall I had a post asking what 5 drugs YOU administer daily (link to orignal queston), here are the results.

Out of over 100 post, here are the top 5:

1. Dilaudid

2. Insulin

3. Morphine

4. Heparin

5. zofran

Next five:

6. Metoprolol

7. Tylenol

8. Colace

9. Protonix

10. Ativan

Most unique answers were a popcicle, a can of whoop A$$, and diaper cream. Ha, you guys are great!

So for all us aspiring nurses, we better read up on these. Thanks everyone who posted. Any additional comments are welcome!

I would say Ethyl Alcohol would be #1.

Diaper cream is probably my number one! Sweet-ease is up there too.

In the labor room:

1. Pitocin

2. Stadol

3. Cytotec

4. Nifedipine

5. Naropin

Post partum:

1. Iron

2. Surfak

3. Percocet

4. Ibuprofen

5. Buprenex

Lasix was number 12 with 11 responses....30 people said dilaudid.

Number 11-15 were

Lovanox

Lasix

Omaprazole

asa

coumadin

only 4 people said xanax and so I put it at number 49.

I give all of those especially insulin on a regular basis.

Besides those listed I find I'm giving Vancomycin, Nexium, Lipitor and Potassium just as frequently.
