When you were preparing all your required paperwork and vaccinations, did your Hep B series need to be completed (all 3 shots administered) prior to starting your clinicals?

I was wondering about this - I signed the waiver, but was debating if I should get the Hep B vaccine anyhow.
As with any vaccine I give myself or my kids, look into the disease AND the vaccine itself. There's pros and cons to getting the vaccine and not. And when I say look into it I don't mean only look at the info from CDC.gov....the only info they give will scare you to get every vaccine known to man. It's a tough decision! Good luck!

Interesting that some schools do not require it. I know my school definitley requires it, just not sure if all 3 shots must be completed prior to starting. I gave the school a call and am waiting for a call back. I was just curious...
Thanks all :)

I have to get titer drawn, as I had the series about 20 yrs ago. They says protection is for a lifetime, going to find out soon. My guess is that I'll need to get the vaccine again.
I have an aquaintance (a nurse) that has had the series 3 times because her titer falls over the course of 5+ years. Makes sense to check it sometimes! Do any of you get the hep A series too?

My GP recommended that I get the Twinrix vaccine (Hep A+B). I already got my 1st shot, the next one I'll get in 3 weeks, and then the third one in 6 months So if I ever go on vacation... I won't have to worry about Hep A.
