Hi. I am currently taking this class over the summer. It is a challenging course depending on your professor. We conducted a 5 part Developmental study along with other side projects and extra credit assignments. The material is interesting but you have to do ALOT of reading to keep up.
Again this depends on your professor. My coworker took the same class online and did only 3 assignments the entire semester.
My teacher for that class was not particularly good. She would tell us the tests were going to be on her lectures, but she'd make the tests up the night before and some of the questions would be on stuff that wasn't in her lectures. Also, the questions were worded very poorly, which resulted in a lot of people failing the tests and that would disturb her, so she would curve the grades. There was also too much busy work. On top of that, she would miss class and then leave a note telling us to write summaries on what we thought she was supposed to teach that evening based on the textbook. It was very odd. Having said that, the work was not difficult, just time consuming. I took it at the same time I was taking A&P I, so my mind wasn't in it as much as it might have been otherwise. Even with my half attention and the poor abilities of the teacher, I managed to get an A. It's one of the easier classes I have taken in my college career, but also one of the least enjoyable.

I'm considering of taking psychology human and growth development next semester at 8am MWF. I did take AP psych in high school which was kinda easy but I had a crappy teacher! However, I will also be taking Chem 1151(Survey of Chemistry) with the lab for 4 credit hours, engl 1101, social problems, and a 1 hour advising class for prenursing...Based on my class schedule and your experience, do you think I will have a heavy course load? If I take the psych class I will have 14 credit hours. Thanks so much!! Btw, I've taken several AP courses in high school and will have chem on Tuesday and Thursday.
