You should repost this in the LTC forum, not the LTAC forum for more responses.
Advice: take your time, ask for more time if you need it on orientation. Do things by the book...shortcuts make for potential for serious mistakes.

I started as a new grad LPN in LTC. First, it will be overwhelming. Remember you are new, and don't expect to pick everything up right away. Yes, a med pass is a med pass, but there's a little more to it than that. I got a week of orientation and it took me about a month to finally get comfortable. Don't be afraid to ask questions, ask for more orientation if you need it. Take a notebook to write down tips/tricks, and use your report sheet. Find a good mentor in the workplace. Good luck! I look forward to hearing how your first day/month goes!

I started one week ago in an LTC. I have received two weeks 3 days each of orientation. I believe today is my last day. I feel completly lost, I believe im slower than everyone and i feel bad, yesterday when i turn to see at the nursing supervisor she was speaking with my preceptor and i believe they were laughing at me since when i walk to where day were they inmediatly change the topic, and that happened three times las night. I feel so dumb and new, like im lonley and everyone is laughing at the new nurse. What should i do to keep my head up? Will it get easier? What about skills? Will i ever be able to do them alone? Pt load is 20:1. I think his is too much for me please help! I really need this job
