  1. Don't quote me, but I think the passing for tease is a 65 or 68 but I only had a 70 and I got in also I don't know about the pre-Rex expiring but I'm assuming maybe five years if you need to retake some pre-Rex I will strongly suggest taking them through portage learning with Geneva College although you pay out-of-pocket, it is the best way to get pre-Reqs done. The school uses ATI and it is embedded into all of your assignments so all of the ATI assignments count towards assignment points and they have lockdown browser exams and the exams. The instructors make up themselves. The online classes are amazing because all of the lectures you listen to at your leisure because they're pre-recorded and the assignments are due by like a due date and all of the assignments are in ATI
  2. I completed the program back in August and I was from New York City. I just flew from New York to Pittsburgh and drove an hour and 20 minutes until West Virginia. It was no big deal. I think that it's a great way to finish our RN and give you a little vacation I booked the hotel in Fairmont at the Holiday Inn And I booked the car through Turo. Steals lab sometimes gets canceled and they'll give you something virtually to do but overall the program is very doable and you won't have a lot of times to go to West Virginia in the last part of Clinicals . They place you with 2 different nurses and then you schedule your preceptorship schedule yourself. I would definitely recommend the program. I feel so blessed to now be a RN (I passed NCLEX 85 questions; 1st time)
  3. Someone in my program travel from IN to WV. Totally doable. Online classes are good, I actually really like this program. Go for it! It's totally worth it. For clinical It's 1 hour and 15min away from Pittsburgh airport I fly in and drive on a Friday. Clinicals Sat/Sun 7-3pm. The online is cool, it's a lot of interaction with your professors via email and they respond fast. I would say focus on your TEAS ,pass and apply. During 1st semester you may come to WV 3 maybe 4 times .twice for clinical and 1 for skills lab and maybe 1 more for anything else that is on your syllabus
  4. I was told for Fall 2023 the 1st semester is 1 weekend a month /each month and Semester 2/3 is up to you& your preceptor to coordinate the schedule
  5. I got officially accepted! Still wondering about clinicals though since I will be traveling
  6. That makes 3 I got accepted into the Fall 2023 Lpn to RN as well!! I'm super excited. Also I asked in another posting about the progress : Read Below " hey! second semester here :), LPN-RN first semester is shorter than the first semester for RNs and it is not graded its more of a fresher from what I heard (LPNS join with RNs in the second semester of the program). I will say that they just throw LPNs in with the rest of us with no training on how to use the exam software or how to do patient look ups for clinical so make sure you guys ask for that bc the ones in our class now had no idea. The program isn't that hard you just have to really pay attention to the powerpoints, what is being discussed in class and do practice questions. We have a resource called NurseThink and the professors use questions from there on the exams. Sometimes on the exams they will accept more than one answer so your grade may boost when they post the grades..nobody reads the textbooks.. as far as clinicals for LPN-RN you won't have clinicals your first semester. Second semester you start clinicals the first or second week of class and its two days at the hospital. You get your patient assignment the day before clincal. Some days you will be at the school on one or both days to learn skills. Second semester you will be passing medication. Start learning weight based dosage calculations!! You must pass a math exam on weight based calculations with 100% to begin passing meds(they say you have 3 attempts but if you don't pass the second time they will just sit you down and help you solve the problems LOL) We also have simulation labs at the hospital. Start learning how to do a head-to-toe assessment! You will have to pass a head-to-toe check off in simulation lab!! Let me know if you have anymore questions.
  7. Hellloooo All, I just applied for the LPN to RN Fall 2023. Can you guys please let me know how the program is going, the clinicals , etc Thanks!
  8. Congratulations!! I got waitlisted but My TEAS was a 70.8 so hopefully I'll get a spot for the Fall. Did they say if clinicals were 2 or 3 days?
  9. that's Good to hear bc I did not want to retake the TEAS LOL. I'm in New York I seen that clinicals are 2/3 times a month, do you know if its weekly on consecutive days in a row.
  10. I meant I'm applying for Fall (not Spring) 23 start! I applied to the school but not the program just yet. I have all my prerequisite and I took the TEAS Dec of 21 and got a 70.7. I think I'll retake it to get a higher score my Science was low 53.9 , reading and Eng both 80s and 72 in math. Did you take TEAS?
  11. Im applying for Spring 23 start. Did you hear anything? Are you from the area?
  12. I'm applying for the Fall 2023. I have all my Prerequisites except Microbiology (I'm almost finished).
  13. So Im talking to this guy and he is a stockkeeper at a hospital and he said the dreaded words "LPN'S are being phased out" ugh! It bothers me that most people who make these comments aren't even in the nursing a profession. Sorry guys but I had to vent! Its soooo annoying
