I am taking a nursing informatics course over the summer that normally is taken after your first year of clinical courses. I start clinical courses this fall, and I am having a little trouble with my next lesson plan (This is all online and my instructor has never once responded to an email).
For part of the assignment I need to write a NANDA statement about my chosen topic (Pinworm infection in a child). I understand that the nursing diagnosis lists symptoms, risks, and other information that is patient based and not pathology based, but all I have on pinworms is intense rectal itching, lack of sleep, and irritability from lack of sleep.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? The nanda site is about joining their organization, and not a write up of who to write a diagnosis.
Thanks,
Steve
