HELP: licensed in saipan, need verification for visa screen

I'm a Filipino nurse and currently still in the Philippines, but I'm also licensed in Northern Marianas (also known as Saipan). I applied for a visa screen last year and (stupidly) declared that I'm also licensed in aformentioned US colony; the problem is I don't know how much I should pay the board to process my license verification and send it to CGFNS.

Last August, I sent them the form, along with a note saying that I have no idea how much I should be paying them to process it, so if they could please email or call me (I left my email and number) to let me know so I can send the necessary amount right away. NADA.

Now my application is going to expire in MAY, and I've emailed them, left them messages in their phone (because no one is answering, ***?) but I'm not getting any reply! This is frustrating, because I shelled out 300+ USD for the visa screen application, but if it expires, then it's just like I threw away that hundreds of dollars.

My question is -- do you have any advice on what else I should do? I'm thisclose to calling CGFNS and asking them as well, but I have a feeling they won't really care. And I'd like to ask my co-nurses first, just in case someone had a similar problem.

for those who really need to contact cbne(commonwealth of board nurse examiners) this might be of help. call (670) 2348950 ask the operator for extension 3587 or 3449.

i called last monday using the number you gave and cbne answered my call. my request ( verification for vsc)had already been processed and ready to be mailed.

how will i know if they received my renewal application form together

with the continuing education i have sent?

and if they werent able to receive it or if my license has expired, will

the BON send another letter?

I have mailed my docs 2 wks ago and I dont have any idea if they got it...

Good News! I just received today my renewed license in Saipan. Im happy because they lengthen the expiration from 1 year to 2 years period. That means that the new board chairman is doing their job in more timely manner and improving i must say. I hope in the near future all transaction can be done thru internet and more current updates on their website. Hope that others who renew their license will get them also.:yeah:

I'm happy to inform you that I got my renewal visascreen certificate last May 20, 2009. Saipan is just slow but they'll get it done. Anyways, my reinstated Saipan RN license though is renewable in 1 year. They issued me a 2 year then I got an email from them that they made a mistake so they issued me a new one, which expires after a year, so I need to renew it again next year? My initial RN license way back in September 2002 had a 2-year validity. Any ideas? I emailed to question them but they did not answer back.

help anyone..my license is expiring june 30, 2011. Is it ok if I dont renew it since I wouldnt be using it for the next few year. I already have my visascreen. Can I have it reinstated anytime? like after 5 years or so?I hope someone can answer coz I dont plan on renewing my license this year..:confused::confused:

Yes you can! Just pay the $70 reinstatement fee with 60 units of CEU.:yeah:

If the license expires you may have to do certain things for the BON to renew it. Better to keep it going to letting it expire

Hi guys!

Just called Saipan's number posted here but to no avail. I sent them mail last May 10 and according to the courier website, they received my letter. It's frustrating since I was able to contact them thru the same number a couple of weeks ago. In fact, they said that they are going to send me my requested documents and will arrive before June ends. Sadly, up to this day, I have not received any reply from them yet:(
