I'm a Filipino nurse and currently still in the Philippines, but I'm also licensed in Northern Marianas (also known as Saipan). I applied for a visa screen last year and (stupidly) declared that I'm also licensed in aformentioned US colony; the problem is I don't know how much I should pay the board to process my license verification and send it to CGFNS.
Last August, I sent them the form, along with a note saying that I have no idea how much I should be paying them to process it, so if they could please email or call me (I left my email and number) to let me know so I can send the necessary amount right away. NADA.
Now my application is going to expire in MAY, and I've emailed them, left them messages in their phone (because no one is answering, ***?) but I'm not getting any reply! This is frustrating, because I shelled out 300+ USD for the visa screen application, but if it expires, then it's just like I threw away that hundreds of dollars.
My question is -- do you have any advice on what else I should do? I'm thisclose to calling CGFNS and asking them as well, but I have a feeling they won't really care. And I'd like to ask my co-nurses first, just in case someone had a similar problem.
I can understand your frustrations. Just for your information CBNE of Saipan is in the process of moving to a new office near our hospital.This is according to my co-worker who happens to be a member of the board of nursing. Not sure though if its permanent or temporary.But I'll keep you posted.
I read the Saipan Tribune with the link you provided. I hope they will be back in full operation as stated on this second week of April as I am still waiting to get my licensed reinstated and verified for the VSC. I know hundreds are, too. I hope part of their plan in the near future is computerization. Thanks nursedandy, keep us posted.

just a curios question , does Saipan give a plastic like license card for foreing nurse who passed the nclex at their teritory because i dnt like their calling card like license...hehe..and if they do how much is the fee?

Sorry but they dont issue other type of license except the one you called" calling card like". Even Florida Board issues one like this.

It's the same calling/business card like license in Texas.
for those who really need to contact cbne(commonwealth of board nurse examiners) this might be of help. call (670) 2348950 ask the operator for extension 3587 or 3449.

I honestly do know about how much the endorsement fee is, i haven't endorsed mine in any state yet.
the verification of license though is $40. :)
