HELP: licensed in saipan, need verification for visa screen

I'm a Filipino nurse and currently still in the Philippines, but I'm also licensed in Northern Marianas (also known as Saipan). I applied for a visa screen last year and (stupidly) declared that I'm also licensed in aformentioned US colony; the problem is I don't know how much I should pay the board to process my license verification and send it to CGFNS.

Last August, I sent them the form, along with a note saying that I have no idea how much I should be paying them to process it, so if they could please email or call me (I left my email and number) to let me know so I can send the necessary amount right away. NADA.

Now my application is going to expire in MAY, and I've emailed them, left them messages in their phone (because no one is answering, ***?) but I'm not getting any reply! This is frustrating, because I shelled out 300+ USD for the visa screen application, but if it expires, then it's just like I threw away that hundreds of dollars.

My question is -- do you have any advice on what else I should do? I'm thisclose to calling CGFNS and asking them as well, but I have a feeling they won't really care. And I'd like to ask my co-nurses first, just in case someone had a similar problem.

No, they only accept US money order, check or cashier's check from US institution.

I dont see any problem sending it together as long as you include the appropriate fees.

based on the application form procedure they sent to me, it is indicated there that they accept cash payment but not advisable as this might not reach to them, you know what i mean.

A US money order/ check would be your safest bet, as you would be able to track it online or by a toll -free number.

I sent my reinstatement and verification ( for the VSC)requests altogether with appropriate fees, they got it last March 13th as per online tracking of my certified mail. I don't see anything wrong with sending them altogether.

Hi all,

Does Saipan BON accept cash when renewing your license?

Another thing is that I am planning to endorse me license to New York. Do you think I would benefit from sending the application for renewal and another application for endorsement as well in just one mail? I am confused where to start when I endorse my license to New York. Hilfe!

J

I sent mine in cash (in bills, I'm from the Philippines) but that wasn't for renewal, that was for verification of license..I sent it through registered mail though so that I can track it. They received it and they processed the service I requested. :D

that's good that you got your license verified. is this for the vsc? how long ago did you apply for the service and how long did it take? they just received my request for reinstatement of license and verification for the vsc last march 13th.

I wouldn't recommend sending cash through the mail.

yes, it is for vsc. i sent mine last november 29,2008 and cgfns received the verification from cbone january 9,2009 (meets all program requirements), when i checked online they received it earlier though, they just did not yet evaluate/accept it (just the note "received"). i just took the risk of sending cash because i did not have time calling my relatives over at the us to provide me a bank draft from a us bank, my vs application expires by august 2009, and knowing the fact that not only cbone takes awhile for them to process services, cgfns as well takes awhile for them to evaluate the documents. i recieved my vsc last month.

[color=#323232]that's a little more than a month which is still not bad for cgfns to receive the form from cbone. i hope mine will be done soon too. i sent $70 for the reinstatement with 60 ceus ( notarized) and $40 for the verification for the vsc. saipan bon received it just two weeks ago. waiting is just the hardest sometimes. btw, did you use the email address that is in their website? just in case i have to contact them. thanks.

I couldn't find which address you are referring to in their website, but anyway I used this [email protected]

That's the same email address I know. I got it from one of the forms in their website. I emailed them like late last month for an inquiry but did not get a reply.

They don't reply to inquiries actually, they don't even answer your calls if you do call them, they only replied to my emails when I sent them a complaint/clarification RE my Verification of License they sent to CGFNS. CGFNS first did not accept the Verification of License from CBONE because the form lacked one minor detail (Registration Date), so I had to contact CBONE ASAP regarding that or CGFNS won't evaluate my documents.

Well, I'm glad you're done with it, dot_040783. I'll just wait for CBONE to process my request for the VSC, hope it will be done soon.

Anyways, I am currently licensed here in Texas but I am planning to apply for a license in New Jersey to be near my family. Does Saipan BON charge the same fee for a verification of license for endorsement and for the visascreen, which is $40?... I want to make sure I send in the appropriate fees which is soon. Thanks.
