Hi guys,
I've always read people's post, but never commented or posted. I'm just starting out with this nursing community resource. I just faxed my confirmation to take CPNE on 2/24/12. I'm reading my study guide, placing tabs and dividers along the way. I have a skills kit. I think I might subscribe to Sheri Taylors online workshop for 2 months. Support and advice definitely appreciated.

Great site passed there in '09.
Thanks guys for the response. Im an Lpn but now I'm questioning my nursing skills. I feel like it's more than learning grids and Mnuemonics. I'm not sure if I'll be prepared for the unexpected. I ordered Taylors clinical nursing skills book..I read that it gives unexpected scenarios and what to do. Some people post such great questions that I wouldn't have thought about. Idk :-(

I am taking the CPNE in Utica, NY also. My test date is 1/20/12. I subscribed to Sheri's online workshop, and it is awesome! I highly recommend it.
I don't really feel well prepared yet either and am freaking out.
Lunah,
I have visited EPN. I didn't see a box to search for specific post. Guess Ill be digging through. Im almost done with the study guide, but idk where to start. Everytime someone says something I write it down in the specified section. But I feel like I'm all over the place!

It will come together and make more sense soon. It seriously took me a whole month just for the lightbulb of what they wanted from me to come on. You will drive yourself insane playing the what if game. Call me soon you know I'd be happy to help!!
Unfortunately there is no search function on the EPN. I keep hoping they'll update their software someday! The online courses are transitioning over to Blackboard (at least my MSN courses are), so maybe they'll migrate the EPN somewhere else with a search function someday!

I am taking my CPNE 3/9/12, I had them push it back a few weeks to give me more time. I am trying to decide if I can pass without a workshop or not due to cost. I purchased Robscpne and have been reading all the posts on Sheri's online workshop. Any advice at this point would be great! I have all my materials for my lab skills but having a hard time getting organized and which direction to go with careplans etc... thanks y'll for any advice :)

I took rescheduled for Utica on 2/24. See ya there!
I don't recommend doing the CPNE without doing a workshop. From what I am seeing a lot of people fail because they are not prepared well and did not do any workshops.

Good luck studying :) I passed in November in Mansfield and the only sources I used were Robscpne and the EPN (so much good information and support there).
