What is your opinion?
Do a little research. Google 'sugar substitute health' and see what you can find. Make sure the website is reputable :) good luck!

Minnesota State LPN refresher course, correspondence based
I think he said it's a course to get his license BACK..so maybe it's a refresher course? If that's right, then maybe you could divide the 'chunk' into sections and give yourself due dates. That may get you back on track! Good luck!

Finished my MSN this morning - ask me anything!
Thank you for the reply. All of the classes were listed as assessments to be done, nothing completed. My enrollment counselor called me Sat morning. They haven't done my transcript eval yet. Guess I got excited lol. I had received an email that said 'you've been cleared to begin your program' so I thought it was GO time. Anyways, the eval is supposed to be done by this week..it will be nice to see most of those classes drop off.

Finished my MSN this morning - ask me anything!
Hello! I am supposed to start the RN-BSN at WGU on July 1st. I just received my 'degree plan' and oh wow..I should only have Biochem as a pre-req, but there are a gazillion classes listed! As in, like 70 comp units! All classes I have already taken I am so scared that they are going to try and make me repeat all these classes and not let me cancel enrollment if this is the case. It's almost as if they did not even LOOK at my transcripts! How do I appeal the transcript eval and also how do I cancel if I need to? I sent an email to my enrollment advisor, I am praying she answers me quickly because I am so anxious. Thank you in advance for your help!

Penn Foster and Excesior
I took info lit thru Penn foster back in December and my counselor at EC said they are not going to be accepting credits from there for much longer. If I were you I would call your EC counselor and have them approve it ASAP. Good luck!

RN and Excelsior
I'm curious...what if you take your ASN from Excelsior and bridge to a BSN through a different school? Would that BSN degree trump the ASN degree and allow you to work anywhere?

Do you have family members who are nurses?
My two ex sister-in-laws are RNs..one was a nurse when I met her, the other became a nurse after me. It wasn't the sis-in-law that influenced me to go to nursing school, though. I wanted to be a math professor at some university or another (yeah, I'm that girl that takes extra math classes for fun). My ex-husband and I were watching a Barbara Walter's special on the crisis of the shortage of nurses, the awesome hours, and the awesome pay...ex-hubby talked me into it. This was in 2001, a year after I graduated high school. We were broke, I was bored from time off school, so I enrolled at a community college. Turns out I actually love nursing :); now I am in school to finish my BSN/MSNed so I can teach, fulfilling my dream full circle!

Skin tears
I use non-adherent telfa and bacitracin if they are not allergic. If it's a clean, new tear and you can clean it with normal saline and get the skin back together (re-approximate) then apply steri strips this will heal it faster (just don't cover it with anything as the point is for it to dry and heal). Geri sleeves are good to wear if their skin is prone to tears..also lotion intact skin a few times a day to promote integrity along with encouraging fluids and good nutrition will cut down on tears!
