I was wondering if there is anybody taking their Nclex Exam at the end of July and would like to be held accountable in making sure that they complete a set amount of question per day? I would like for us to login/check into the forum every day if posssible to say that you have completed your questions for that day.
I struggle with doing at least 100 questions a day! I am hoping that there is another person who could benefit from being held accountable.
Thanks in advance!
I didnt really do much studying yesterday or today. I dont like the Saunders disc, had repeat questions too many times. I was reading thru my clinical skills book from school. I just feel kind of burnt out and think this exam is going to ask random questions. Even the friends I had who passed the test in the last month said studying didnt help them.
Yes thank u answers my question thought u guys were doing book Kaplan I won't be joining the website since my nclex is on Saturday already I did Kaplan book strategies which I loved but for the next two days I'll be just reviewing my final exams reviews notes ! Wish me luck I'm nervous but gotta keep my head up!
Taking mine on 7/20. I'm using Hurst for content review and supplementing it with Saunders for more in-depth review. I got Kaplan for free, so I'm using that for question practice. After I finish with Kaplan's QTrainers and QBank qusetions, I plan to use LaCharity for more questions if I still feel like I need some remediation.
Got to persevere and keep on keeping on. Cheers!
I just took my exam on July 6th I had 75 questions I would say use exam cram for both pn and rn. I used it for the pn and had the minimum test questions as well, I also used Hurst for content review but exam cram has a book with 5 comprehensive test all 250 questions each and I answered those and had got the 75. All of my class used the exam cram 10 of graduated and 6 have taken the exam all 6 have passed waiting on the remainding 4. I highly recommend exam cram it is a pearson vue product as well
I didn't think Peds was a weak area for me until I did the Saunders Assessment test and started following the 30 day calendar. I can't believe how bad I suck at Peds Compared to the grades I was getting in Peds at school, I feel like I absolutely know nothing doing the Peds questions from Saunders
So not happy at all right now..... Well I have my EKG strips exam tomorrow at school so I'm going to leave Peds alone for tonight. Just too depressing...
Hello guys!!!
I test on Monday! I just want to get this over with!!!!! Being doing questions..and getting 60%-80%..ooh well! I'm using NCBSN and VATI! On VATI, I finished Mental Health today with a 66.7% (their pass mark is 60%). Tomorrow, I will finish with Leadership and then take their Comprehensive Predictor test!
Pray for me, guys! I hope to become an RN by this time next week :)
Read about half of my rationales last night before collapsing into bed...had 3 hour study session with classmate today to review the pharm section of ATI (we both scored 57% on both the practice and final practice). I am having a really hard time with pharm. Did 120 questions on endocrine, gastro, oncology and pharm tonight. going to read my rationales and call it a night. I have leadership clinical at 0600...
So I bought the Exam Cram for my Android Kindle Reader tonight....did the first 15 questions and read the rationales...now I see why you guys like this so much! I am going to order the Kaplan book as well. I have felt like I was spinning my wheels doing the same tests over and over...because it gets to a point that you have memorized it and it doesn't seem to be progressing anymore. With this book, I have 1000 new questions and the CD is being shipped - so I should have plenty of time to ponder and learn these topics!
Thank all of you for your tips and strategies!!!
Finally got an ATT and thus an exam date- wow what a motivation that is!! I knocked out 4 of the Saunders chapters in Peds (which for me means writing an outline of anything I'm foggy on, so takes awhile, but writing is how I learn unfortunately) and the ?'s for each. Got in a handful of ?'s with my app while running errands, too. Its nice getting back in the study groove, gonna tear it up tomorrow ^_^

Completed 100 kaplan questions, reviewed rationales and studied some notes. Done studying for the day. 8 more study days for NCLEX then comes the exam.
