Hi.. just an attempt to get to know folks better. Am curious as to what state you practice in. West Virginia here.
Hi, I'm a nurse in a teeny tiny town in CT and I'm glad to have found this forum. Where I live, there's just cows, horses and snow (it's a-comin'!) You know it's rural when you're late getting somewhere because you're stuck behind a tractor being driven by a 12 year old. Got lost once in a forest for about twelve miles, gas tank on empty, cell phone with me but of course no signal...found my way out by driving down a logging trail. Still, I would find it hard to live elsewhere, because it is so beautiful.
I live in beautiful Oregon. And I've a question - efiebke, you say you are in Massachusetts but the location under your avatar says New York. Also, ERRN1028, your location is noted as Mississippi and you say you are working in Memphis, TN. Find that just a trifle confusing. :rotfl:
North Mississippi, is 3 minutes away from memphis, TN I live on the STATE line, takes me less than 30 min to get to work. I love it ! :)

I can see why! I simply commute to MA. Up until July of this year the commute was 31 miles. Since my wife and I sold our house and moved, I now commute 7 miles! And the MA border is just 100 feet from the house where we rent! I think that's pretty darn cool!

I live in the Appalachian mountains in SE Tennessee 100' from the Cherokee National Forest. I work about 29 long twisty miles from here doing home health on the GA, NC, TN line. The way I look at it, I have it made. My mother lives in Baltimore. Every morning she drives to the train station, takes the train to Washington, D.C., transfers to the subway then walks a block to her office- talk about stress! My commute is nearly an hour (much longer in the winter), but what a gorgeous drive and a great way to decompress! Plus, I'm partial to rural folks. I love doing home health with the self-sufficient, tough as old pine knot mountain folk!

I live in Vancouver Washington, commute to Portland Oregon (only 7 miles away) but will be moving to Atlanta Georgia (whew!!! Thats a mouthful!!)
