Thought for sure I would see an uproar about this restaurant in Az featured on ACB's 20/20. The waitresses wear slutty Media-type 'nurses' outfits and roll their bloated patrons to their car in a w/c after they gorge themselves on unhealthy foods. It was featured on 20/20s Gimme a Break last pm. John Stossel says Gimme a Break about nurses being upset over the image. IMO the person who was defending the "real nurses" did a very poor job.

Anyone else see it??

Heck...I'm more offended by their menu! They and their customers will be helping keep cardiologists in business!

There is a line that must be drawn with common sense...

The BON should not have gotten involved with this issue...what a trivial matter to get involved in! How about nurse patient-ratios/wages, etc as another person mentioned? The fact that our boards who are supposed to be rallying for better working conditions, yet waste their time bickering over a crappy resturaunt whose waitresses wear SPOOF NURSE COSTUMES does more to hurt the nursing image than the resturaunt does. Does that make sense to anyone?"

I don't know what gags me most: the concept of that place, the menu, the tacky trampy dress code of the waitresses, or the wheelchairs.

On another point, i wonder how many people out there in the world are in NEED of a wheelchair, and this place is needlessly using them.

While the Heart Attack Grill nurses* offer a high standard of care, they are not REAL Nurses and do not provide actual medical treatment. We feel the need to say this because of people in the world who are afflicted with at least one of the conditions listed above. Yes, there really might be a person out there who would think that our "nurses*" are the real thing.

I'm not in concurrence with the majority opinion here.

I'm not sure I can label the restaurant without having experienced it first.

I think the BON is being absurd in threatening lawsuit.

I am personally not that offended. Its not like nursing is the only occupation to receive this kind of attention. After all, we have naughty librarians, police officers, housewives, teachers and so on. We also objectify men in the same way. Hot construction workers, police, firemen, etc.

I would like to think nursing is more resilient than to be undone by a sexy waitress gimmick at a grill.
