HealthSouth Digital Interview??

Specialties Rehabilitation

Published

I got an email today for a digital interview with HealthSouth!

does anyone have experience with this new way of interviewing? It will be in video format, essentially a recording. Of course I am wondering about questions...I'm mortified!

Any insight on pay, differentials, etc.?

Thanks to all!!

It was very straightforward. No time limits. So you could hear the question and take as long as you liked before replying. There were 9questions. #7 made me mad. Asking about most recent salary info. So I googled it...what I found was that you should never disclose your current or past salaries. It puts them in the position to low-ball you. So I put my $6 per hour job I had at a Christian school 6 years ago. I only worked there two hours per day for 4 months!! Haha. Top that!!

Thank you so much!! You are amazing!! They stated in the e-mail that it would be an interview to "expand" upon the resume and show my true personality. I don't think behavioral type interviews that I have been studying up on would accomplish the "true personality" part of anyone! So these questions will help a great deal.

Did you end up getting the job you had applied for?

You are most welcome. I did not! Did it last year and since I was entering last semester (end of fall), she advised that I apply for a nursing position in a few months instead. I'll be doing that this weekend.

Haha. They did ask me questions about salary also so I think that's probably something that they do frequently. I think in particular they asked me how much did I make in my previous job versus my current job and how much I expected to make while working for them. Hope you make it to the face-to-face interview. I made it to the face-to-face interview and that's when she suggested that I wait closer till graduation and just apply for nursing job.

All the best

I haven't heard anything else from them. On the very last question I hit 'record' and literally 3 seconds later it turned off!! ?? So I sent the Hirevue people a technical problem e-mail and they responded with this "With your interview, what had happened is actually very common. During your response to the last question, there was a lapse in your connection that caused the response to be saved up to that point. When this happens, recruiters do understand"…and it happens often.

So who knows? I was thinking about taking my resume and dropping it off at the actual facility with a manager. Seems so much more personal than a recruiter from who knows where!

I would LOVE to know how much they pay!

oh no :( thats not good. Im so sorry that something like that happened. So glad it happened on the last question and not the first because that would throw your concentration all off... Now, Im glad that they are familiar with such as issue and hope that you get called in for a face-to-face

I got an interview with health south , so thanks for the info!

Congrats on the interview, have you heard back? HealthSouth can be pretty rough as a new grad; three days of orientation and then you are tossed right in. I was employed with them for a bit, most nights had a 9-12:1 ratio, with one CNA... Not the best environment when the majority of patients are fall risks or assist x 2. With proper staffing it wouldn't have been too shabby.

Congrats to you.

Hello RubyLex,

How did it go?!

Specializes in CNA-5 years, EMT-B (lapsed) 2010.

Now I know besaangel, CNA, said not to quote her on those questions, but does anyone else out there agree that that is about how they were? I just woke up to an email for a video/digital interview this morning, and quite honestly, AM PETRIFED! The Metro Denver new grad market is a nightmare and I understand that it's not good to put all your eggs in one basket, but I am in dire need of employment.

Anyone's additional advice would be graciously appreciated. (but this was great info too) (...and grrr:banghead: about the salary question)

I have a face to face interview with HealthSouth tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how it goes. I'm in Panama City, FL and I'm a newly licensed RN.
