I switched to Tae-Bo. The running, although fun, is taking a beating on my ankles!!! I use to do the basic Tae-Bo, but I had the "Boot Camp" series dvds, so I gave those a try.

I hadn't heard of the boot camp ones, I have the regular ones - those are hard enough!

Zoe, you were so right! I was absolutely in love with the ER! It was great, I inserted several catheters, did a bunch of IV starts, researched and pushed all sorts of different things, did rapid strep cultures, etc. Sooooooooo much learning and so wonderful! The ER staff was fantastic, they worked great together and it was awesome for me to see the nurses really chip in and pull together on the critical cases to get everything done so quickly and have the patient stable and ready to go to ICU. Wow! I was amazed and loving it - I wish we had more clinicals there!!!

Hi everybody!

I have managed to be good still, exercising like crazy, only did 20 minutes last night, but figured I got in quite a bit with the clinical, so I hope it evened out. :) I had subway for lunch yesterday and home-made green chili for dinner. Today I was craving french-fries, my friend and I went to lunch, so I ordered cottage cheese and fruit with french fries on the side and we split the fries, that way I got some, but without way too many calories! WooHoo!!! Now I just need to perk back up so I can exercise when I get home. :)

Have a great day y'all!

Aw, I knew you would! Glad they gave you free rein! I hardly got to do anything in my rotation.

I am proud of you re the fries - I narrowly escaped some white flour tonight!

Your bad or you're bad? In either case - no you're not! Enjoy your holiday Tweety!

***********

Here is an exercise program for those of us whose wisdom exceeds our ambition. The doctor told me "Physical exercise is good for you." I know that I should do it, but my body is out of shape, so I have worked out this easy daily program I can do anywhere. If I can do it, you can do this, too.

Monday:

Beat around the bush.

Jump to conclusions.

Climb the walls.

Wade through paperwork.

Tuesday:

Drag my heels.

Push my luck.

Make mountains out of molehills.

Hit the nail on the head.

Wednesday:

Bend over backwards.

Jump on the bandwagon.

Balance the books.

Run around in circles.

Thursday:

Toot my own horn.

Climb the ladder of success.

Pull out the stops.

Add fuel to the fire.

Friday:

Open a can of worms.

Put my foot in my mouth.

Start the ball rolling.

Go over the edge.

Saturday:

Pick up the pieces.

LOL! I love it Zoe!!! Except Saturday sounds absolutely exhausting - picking up the pieces after all that other, hehe.

Edited to add: I am down 2.5 lbs. since I last weighed. Not quite what I wanted, but better than the alternative, so WooHoo!!!

Have a Happy Turkey-Day everybody!!!

1-2 lb for me, but I need a new scale - I think it's accurate but it is lazy (or scared) - only wants to give me that range of +/- 1 lb ha ha

LOL! Yep, definitely time to ditch the scale & trade it in for a new model, hehe. :) I'm lucky, I have a friend who has a very accurate, fancy scale that goes to the 1/2 lb and she brings it in once a week, so yeay! Plus, that's good, it keeps me from weighing constantly and driving myself crazy, hehe.

I try to stick to once a week -

Last nite I almost BINGED - but prayed thru it and got thru the nite - then - today got a comment that I looked like I had lost wt! The first unprovoked one I might add chuckle ... ;)

Yay!!! The comments are definitely a big motivator!

I'm staying right at 155. Need to do more daily exercise.

I'm glad I haven't gained the 10 pounds back.

But I'd like to get under 150. When I met my dh, I weighed 115 . . . . and this was after two kids. Too skinny though - even he said so.

I'm headed out in the sun for a walk.

Good luck y'all on the rest of the day's activities and FOOD. ;)
