I need to start doing a little more exercise than jumping around to "Chaiyya Chaiyya" every morning, I suppose, but I'm quite winded after that and the neighbors are probably ready to call the cops because I've been playing it from the Inside Man movie (because we have a pretty good surround sound system) at concert-level decibels. It's just such a joyful song and I can really dance to it. It's been years since I really danced and I used to be pretty good at it.

Hey, if you like it and it gets you moving, why not?

white flour and white sugar are evil :trout:

Yeah baby!

Now if I could stop eating it ...

3 more lbs. to reach my first goal of 20 - WooHoo!!! Then my next goal will be 16 lbs. because that will get me to where I was last summer & I was really feeling good then. I was still overweight, but I can work from there once I get to that point, right now I just want to get there. :)

I'm so glad for you Sarah!

Good job Sarah!

Angie, as you start to feel better from the weight loss, you're going to want to exercise more.

Thanks Angie, Muffie, Zoe & Tweety!

Angie, I have a CD I need to dig back out too - it's dance and I love it, but it's been hidden away in the depths of my collection for quite a while. Maybe I'll do that tonight when I go home. :)

Tweety - you are so right! The more you lose and the more energy you gain, the better you feel & the more you want to do. WooHoo!!!

Have a happy, healthy day y'all!

I did the exercise yesterday but feet started to hurt last night before I left work, so that cautions me about overdoing it. I'll probably just do the walk CD three times a week. I also have a beginner's Pilates CD, so to save my tootsies for work, maybe I'll try the Pilates a couple days a week. I probably won't be able to do all of that one though, and DS borrowed my mat and I haven't seen it in ages, so I'll just give it a test first.

Meantime, I somehow skipped lunch yesterday without meaning to. Had a bowl of oatmeal with DH in the morning and at work I wasn't too hungry so I had a cottage cheese, then had an egg sandwich and some soup when I got home.

However, I don't think I'll do that again because I started to run out of steam toward the end of the shift. Plus, I've caught a head cold. I'm fighting it, but it seems to be winning at this point.

Angie - I agree, no sense in over doing it and then burning yourself out. You are doing great, so that is awesome! I have done that before with the skipping lunch and then I feel like crud. I actually forgot to eat supper last night at class (I had a power bar with me), so when I got home I opened a can of green beans and ate them.

Hey to everyone I may have missed earlier!

Greetings to all from Las Vegas! A bit cool here, NOT pool weather. High today 67 with a 50% chance of rain this afternoon.

Horses are AMAZING as always! First competition won by German woman named Isabel Werth (beautiful ride) 2nd was American named Steffan Peters form Ca.

I'm quite proud of myself. I have been to the gym twice, working out hard there. Gym access includes spa access, so going to the gym doesn't have quite the connotation it does at home! Work out followed by pampering as desired. Day 1 facial was WONDERFUL! My skin hasn't felt that good in years! Have been avoiding carbs overall and not missing them at all. Of course I am not counting a little wine or beer now and then. But the food.here is so good, you have lots of exceptionally tasty things to choose from without a lot of 'whites' (pasta, etc.). My goal is to not gain any weight while I'm here. If I don't make every effort to do that, I know I'll be putting on pounds. At the horse show, you just sit and watch all the activities. So unless I am making serious efforts at other times in the day, I won't have clothes to fit into by the time I head for home!!!

I read everyone's posts to catch up - well done, everyone!!!! Will check back in in a few days!

Blue, amazing! Many (including me) will see vacation as a reason to blow it all, and then by the time they come home, they can't get back on the wagon. GOOD FOR YOU!

Zoe! You are so nice! Don't be puttin me up on some pedestal now. I was completely serious re: not having clothes to squeeze into when I head for home if I don't watch it. I don't want to be traveling in my pajamas just because they are the only thing left that wraps around my girth! Sounds like a nightmare I had once....

Show got done a little early this afternoon. I'm surfin for a few minutes while enjoying a glass of wine, then out for dinner. MGM tonight, me thinks. Maybe check out what Wolfgang Puck has to offer. I didn't think I would break out the laptop until my mandatory chat session, but here I am. Frankly it's nice to have a little leisurely surf time instead of racing thru email before moving on to the emergency of the day (or the hour...).

Hasta manana!

Ok, but I was serious. To have SOME discipline in Nevada, where they practically GIVE food and drinks away ... oh man...

Hi guys!

Just a quick hello before the internet service runs out. They make you pay for it and it's good for 24 hours, or you have to fork out another $12 bucks. Guess they don't want to provide free internet service to half of Vegas that drives by.....

Wolfgang Puck looked tasty.... but Emeril is who won my dining dollars! OMG! Worth every calorie!!! Grilled salmon topped with some wonderful sauce I can't describe, with wilted spinach and these tiny potatoes that were wonderful. Nice glass of wine with dinner. Dessert was ginger bread pudding with a side of cranberry ice cream (a rich vanilla with candied dried cranberries swirled in). Capuccino with a dark chocolate square swirled in. And the waiter was SOOOOO good! He took pity on me because I was eating alone (friends were watching the jumping competition, which I prefer not to watch - looks like neurotrauma waiting to happen to me!). Little did he know I was relishing on the few hours where NO ONE COULD ASK ME TO MAKE A DECISION FOR THEM! I haven't had any 'me' time in about 2 years and I was enjoying every second! Had a book to lounge with and loved it!

Well, down to the gym and spa for me this morning! I'll be meeting another friend from Colorado later today, who knows what splurges will be indulged in!

Next internet access will be on Tues/Wed. See you then!!!!
