Greetings. Deb is going to put a sticky on this thread and eventually delete the other.
This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
Bluehair, I am quoting Tweety from another site who taught me how to multiquote:"... to multi-quote, hit the quote button (looks like quotation marks) on each post that you want to quote. You have to then hit the post reply button (which is at the top and bottom of the page). You can't quick reply and multi-quote I believe." (and he's right, I did try that)
Thanks, Zoe! And Tweety!!

Hey guys, good to see everyone is keeping healthy!!
It's also good to see Tweety was bad, lol ..... I've seen your pictures Tweets, you look very fit. So it's good to know you eat a whole pizza and donuts at times lol.
Pizza is seriously my weakness, I LOVE my pizza!! So today I made my own pizza. Got a whole wheat pita, put some tomato sauce on top, with some low fat mozzarella cheese, zapped it in the oven for a bit. I was surprised at how good it was! It's just as good, if not better, than those frozen pizzas I used to eat ALL the time. So I'm happy about that.
Went to Curves for my 3 workouts last week. So I'm all done with my 3 workouts with the trainer, and now I can go on my own, whenever I want. I feel so good after the workouts. I haven't been walking every night like I should though, I've been pretty bad about that. I only went for a walk 2 nights last week. I'm going to try and go tonight though.

Rain, that pizza sounds good!
As to walking, do they have a treadmill or bike at Curves, in case you don't want to take a walk later?
LOL! You guys crack me up - I'm sorry I miss out on getting online over the weekends.
Hiker (I think it was you) - after that I think I am going to take two showers a day to be sure to get in a few extra servings - hehe! I found some cucumber/watermelon body wash - can that be a fruit & a veggie in one?
Tweety - I was really good up until yesterday - my brother's birthday and we went to Pizza Hut - oops. I ate too much pizza and am still paying for it today (I love it, but it doesn't like me very well). Oh well - I skipped the birthday cake, so that's a good thing.
Zoe & Muffie - rats, I don't drink coffee. I will have to find a different "bean" to count for me. Oooh - I know, I am big on low-carb sugar free cocoa, made from a cocoa bean.
Blue - I am proud of you for going to the gym and maintaining your weight. Sometimes that feels like the biggest success! I finally managed to squeeze (literally) myself into a pair of jeans that I couldn't wear a few weeks ago. Although I couldn't breathe, it was pretty awesome - LOL! We will meet our goals, I'm sure of it!
Rain - your pita pizza sounds delicious! I may have to give that a try if I can find some low-carb pitas. Yummy!
Hi anybody I missed!
Have a great day!
hello, this thread is a great idea. Also, congrats on quitting smoking!! I too have been on the yo-yo dieting ride. Recently over the holidays things went crazy with my toxic family(parents, siblings)...I did a lot of ventilating with them...came to grips that they will never be supportive or loving only manipulative and taking. They're just too toxic for me to allow them in my life anymore. So, it's been over one month of not talking to them and I'm finally sleeping peacefully through the nite and have started a healthy balanced low carb lifestyle I've already lost 10 lbs.
It's amazing how guilt will lead us into maintaining relationships and experiences that are not good for us. And equally amazing how free it feels when you just walk away and ask God for guidance and strenghth to do what's best for yourself. Wishing all of you peace and holistic health!!!
Hello and welcome Cisco! I hope you stick around and enjoy our pursuit of health! :)
I am sorry to hear about the problems you have had with your family. It is very hard to break away from people that you love, but it is wonderful that you have the strength to take care of yourself and to realize that you deserve better, I commend you for that!
Congratulations on the weight-loss, I am a low-carber with you. I did awesome before I started school (lost about 50 lbs. after I lost my baby weight), but then when I started I had gained back 30 - yikes! I have now lost 10 of that and am working hard on getting back down and then headed towards weight-loss again. So we can work on this together - yeay!
I agree with you - guilt does tend to keep us in relationships we don't want or need. Congratulations for making peace with that and moving forward with your life!
Welcome, hope to see you here often.
