Greetings. Deb is going to put a sticky on this thread and eventually delete the other.
This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.
It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!
No sweat eh? Then again YOU are the hiker!
LOL. Maybe this will be my new mantra Say a patient needs an IV and nobody else can do it, I'll jump in and say, "Hey, I can do it. I AM the hiker, after all." You're funny, Zoe :chuckle
Sarah, you got the pants on, awesome :) Breathing is optional I remember after my baby's birth (not very soon after, LOL) putting on the pants I wore before I got pregnant (that are now, sadly, too small again) and being so excited. Unfortunately, nobody could see me in them because not only could I not breathe, I couldn't get up off the bed I had to lie down on to actually get them zipped up. BUT, I did get them on. Long story, long, but I am proud of you.
Cisco, welcome. Good to have you here. Sometimes we're kind of a rowdy group, but you'll definitely get support and ideas here
I went to the gym this morning and got three miles on the treadmill. I usually aim for four, plus a cooldown, but I had a quiz on the reading in class this morning and I hadn't, er, actually started that part yet.
Then, I walked to the record store (Ha, see how old I am using that designation) with the baby this afternoon. Got another four miles in of walking.
Not so great with the food. I stopped at Wendy's for lunch and have been rather freely enjoying the Hershey's kissables we've got around here. Have you tried them? Hard to resist.
Thanks Cisco - this will be perfect for us!
Hiker - LOL - thanks, it's good to know I'm not alone in these things. Well, the not being able to breathe does have it's incentive - it's hard to eat when you can't breathe - LOL!
Hi Zoe!
Hi Muffie!
Hey Tweety - wherever you may be.
Have a great day everyone!
Great job, Sarah! I think it's harder to drink enough when the weather's cold. You've inspired me to go and drink.
I went to the gym this morning and did four miles. I was going to study while I was on the machine, but I didn't. It should count for something, though, that I DID make the effort to put my book up there, right?

Sarah, thanks for the welcoming words. Congratulations on being in nursing school. It's very stressful but so worth it once you graduate and pass the boards. We can share our progress with the low carb lifestyle and if you ever have any questions or just need to vent about nursing school you can PM me.
