Greetings. Deb is going to put a sticky on this thread and eventually delete the other.

This is the thread where members come to share their journey to wellness and wholeness.

It's a holistic thread, talking about all apects of health, not just diet and exercise, but the mind and spirit as well. All posters are welcome (not just Premium Members) and encouraged on a periodic basis to share what you're doing, what you need to do and how you're going to do it, and what you know!

(drumroll please....)

Survey says.... 7 inches! Personally I find that more impressive than the poundage. 7 inches of blubber gone but I'm still quite a ways away from fitting into my skinny jeans. Heading the right direction tho!

Now that's motivation to keep going!!!

Later!

:smokin:

:yeah:  :yelclap: :flowersfo :innerconf :monkeydance: :roll :D Awesome! Totally Awesome! Good for you, I am sooooo happy for you!!!

Hey Steph, Zoe & muffie, I have been on -again, off-again with the dieting too. Aaargh! I did awesome yesterday until in-between class last night and ended up having a cheeseburger for supper. Oops. Well, I am trying this again today, at least I am doing good with the water thing - have already drank half my minimum this morning. I am heating up some broccoli with cheese for lunch. :)

Hey Tweety - hope all is well and stress is minimal.

Hi there anybody and everybody else.

Take care y'all!

how many cals does one burn petting a kitty ???

You lower your stress, thereby lowering your cortisol and increasing your immune system--and not being sick will make it easier to eat a wide variety of healthy foods. Lots of bang for your buck, there :D You've probably lost a couple of belly inches already ;)

Hmm - I think I need a kitty (LOL - much as I love them, I am very allergic and it just doesn't work).

No, you don't need a kitty . . .we got one last Fall and she has managed to shred and rip her way through the house - not to mention biting my son a number of times and scratching his face. She also bites me. She gets up on the table to eat food. Plus, she is the first indoor cat we've had and I hate litter boxes . . . . my kitty doesn't lower my cortisol . . . . she raises it!

Oh Steph, I am so sorry. I appreciate that though - I feel much better now. :)

I am unfortunately off the wagon with the carbs :( -- kinda blue the last few days (which came first?) I will get back to it I'm sure but ... sigh... I get discouraged starting over and over and over again ...

:kiss :icon_hug: It sucks sometimes. Maybe just think of it as taking a rest from the diet than having to start over again. Anyway, we still love you :)

Mine does too, I hate to say, what an awful mommy ... but I think it's just that she is so lonely after her "sister" died last year - she looks at me with that mournful "how can you not want me in your face every minute" look... sigh...
