so i fell off my high horse yesterday and ate 3 store bought oatmeal chocolate chip cookiesbig daddy has been warned not to bring that kind of crap into the house or to hide it
:angryfire

another day, another challenge
Yesterday for bkfst all I had was oatmeal, no lunch ... so come 5 pm at work my blood sugar feels like a zero - I had NOTHING there to eat - so I ate a cookie (homemade) that my co-worker had brought. After that of course I wanted to eat all the REST of them - boy did I feel awful ... ate well last nite (and quickly!)
Sorry you didn't get to have your cake!
You guys are doing great!! Everytime I read posts that people didn't eat the junk food that was tempting them at work, or even turning down the birthday cake ...... gives me hope and shows me it can be done!! Awesome, you guys are doing awesome!!
I finally did it, I went down to Curves today and got my membership!! I'm so excited!! I am going on Wed. for my first meeting. The first 3 workouts the lady works with me to show me all the machines and makes sure I'm doing everything right. I'm really excited. My goal is to go 3 days/week, which is what they recommend. This is a start, and I finally did it :)
I wish you all a healthy weekend!!
You rock, Muff :)
Aw, Zoe, thanks. I'm starting to feel better. Called in sick tonight (which I hate to do) because I didn't think staying up all night was going to help.
Rain, way to go! That's good they schedule in learning the right way to learn the machines--I bet you're going to love the workout. I love going to the gym.
Tweety, I'm glad you're on the good end of your cold--get some rest :zzzzz
I think I'm going to post my week's goals here, giving myself some accountability :/
1. Work out three hours
2. Eat four servings of fruit/veg a day (I know that's not enough, but it's more than I've been getting:rolleyes: )
3. Not drive three days this week (walk to the bank, etc.)

[bANANA]YAY, YOU!!![/bANANA]
Woot!I'm finally starting to get rid of the two-week cold that just left me tired.
I hope everyone is well.
I pray it stays GONE!
Some are saying they have had theirs 3-8 weeks!!!
Mine seems better every day - only thing is I get so irritated with the laryngitis I want to YELLL! Which isn't a good way to get rid of laryngitis :rotfl:
Take care Tweety!
Hi everyone!
Have had to pull some hefty overtime the last few days. Glad to finally have a day off. The OT did nothing for my healthy eating or exercise goals, that's for sure! Lunch was a carb-heavy sandwich on a bagel, only option other than starving. Hope to get out for a good long walk this afternoon since the weather is clearing a bit today.
Sounds like you guys are doing great, even if you fall off the wagon you are getting back on!!!
Tweety - lOVE your new Av.! It's how I am approaching life this morning!!
Hiker - great idea to have goals for just a week, keep it simple!
My goals: Get my hair done! (Long overdue, look like a human mop at the moment and I need some 'me' time.) Exercise 5 out of the next 7 days. Eat 4 servings veggies a day. Same as you Hiker, just need to take steps to improve where I am at this point. V8 juice helps a lot and is EASY to work in.
Later!
